What are the common mistakes in content marketing?

When doing content marketing you need to focus on getting more leads and convert potential clients into actual buyers. Use of images can prompt viewers to actually take immediate action. By use of videos you can increase your viewers to clients ratio to much great extent.

With the use of content you can provide potential buyers with valuable information that they can use to solve their problems. But not all people are skilled to providing good information that can actually help people.

The very first thing that marketers avoid is inappropriate titles. What are some other mistakes that marketers need to avoid?

A common mistake I see people making all the time is hiring writers for $0.01 USD per word and thinking they're getting premium content.

That's works out to paying $10 and expecting a high quality 1000 word article.

Alas, it does not work that way.

Totally agree about having captivating titles. In fact, I always check my titles using the headline analyzer at Advanced Marketing Institute. I aim for no less than 30% EMV (emotional marketing value).

For example, let's take the topic of lose belly fat.

Title 1 - What Are The Best Ways To Get A Flat Stomach? (SCORE - 20% EMV)

Title 2 - How To Lose Belly Fat Fast And Easy (SCORE - 50% EMV)

I would say a BIG mistake is trying to write for Search Engines.

People need to focus on Writing more organically and not for Organic purposes

Using article spinning software is a mistake. They do not work very well and you end up rewriting the spun version anyway which takes more time then just writing an original article to begin with.

They don't write epic posts. I don't usually use the word epic, because it's so overused now. But, it does aptly describe what I am attempting to convey.

Don't focus on a lot of posts. Focus on great posts that leave the reader stunned at how good it is.

As an example; I wrote a post last week for one of my sites that got over 1,400 shares via email alone! Yep, that was just the people who came to the page via an email link.

The other social shares were quite good as well.

      Why?

The post was 2,400 words long, gave content that you'd normally be happy to pay for, had 6 great images, 1 video and one info graphic.

The key to content creation is, create world class content.

Of course, one of the most common mistakes you can make is creating duplicate content, which can often come about (especially with new starters) just from copy/pasting content from sources of info like wikis. Try and write something original, and give your content something unique to the market. Even when information is available everywhere, for example with recipes, stats or things that are objective, build unique text around this information instead of copy/pasting the info from a third party source.

If you are looking for long online business, its better to invest sometime and do little research on the topic that you gonna write about. Initially it may feel boring but latter on you will be confident enough to write pretty good contents without depending upon anyone. Look at my site www.kallol360.com recently I launched this site and all the contents were written by myself. I am not fond writing but I am trying daily to develop some nice contents for the visitors.

Trying to write in a voice that isn't yours.

Forcing your content, so that it's a chore.

Writing content that doesn't appeal to the folks who might link to your content.

Not doing any keyword research to help loosely structure that content.

Expecting one piece of content to be enough to establish a buying relationship.
