How Much Time Per Day Do You Work?

I see a lot of talk about article marketing and suggestions to write a certain number of articles every day. To me it sounds like a lot of work, and the more money I make the more increasingly lazy I become.

I wanted to ask in this forum, how much time do you allocate to your marketing efforts per day on average?

My average daily workload:

- Mailing list maintenance - 30 minutes

- Responding to customer inquiries - 1 hour

- Creating new products - 2 hours

Additionally - Article writing - about 10 articles every two-three months - 30 minutes to 1 hour for 10 articles.

Article directory submissions - another 2 hours each two-three months

What is your average daily workload?

    I have this problem..

I'm not completely lazy... I just get more "office lazy".. so I get away from the office more.

I used to slave real hard for a big income in my fathers business, now that it's a little bit easier doing it by myself, I get away from this desk as much as I can.

I average about 2 hours work a day, most days. But then there are other days when I do a full day right through to the evening.

Most days, though, the majority of my "work" is done at night once my l'il girl sleeps.

    Peace

I am in the same boat... I have two kids and I can hardly work when they are up... But we sleep late and when I wake up I usually check my sales, maintain mailing list and then check my e-mail from customers. I do writing when my kids go to school or when they are asleep

I don't spend a whole lot of time on article marketing. I will write around 5 articles a month at about 15 to 30 minutes a piece. I use an article submitter so it takes no time at all to send them out.

I just find that other strategies such as CPA and Postcard Marketing work much better and take waaaay less time. Which is great because it gives me more time to support my organization...

I think I first started feeling somewhat safe when I started to make $200 or more each day and then I started to cut down to five hours a day, and then as my income increased I cut down my hours more... I rarely write articles anymore. I have exceptionally good relationships with my affiliates. I help them if they need something but for the most part they are better than I at things like article marketing or adwords.

Probably around 3-4 hours per day on average. I'm very much still in the learning and building phase so I am working on increasing this to 6 hours per day.

Probably about 20 hours per week. I'm working on a special project right now so its probably a little more than that at the moment.

Dang, I must be the workaholic of the group. I work a minimum of 8 hours/day (excluding Sundays). Every now and then I'll take a day off to clear my head a little. But then, I don't have kids and I live in the middle of nowhere. I think when even going to Wal Mart is an hour round-trip, work becomes a lot easier to stick with. I can't even imagine all the distractions that would beckon if we still lived in the heart of the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex.

I try to work to work a minimum of 6hrs a day. However, living in the back of beyond in Ireland, the internet connection is very unreliable (today is not a good day!) So, if I have a good connection - I stick with it as long as I can.

I take at least 1 day off every week.

I have approx 6 hours a day to spend on my online business. I usually spend 3 hours on my eBay store and 3 hours on niche affiliate/contextual sites.

I also have at least an hour of transit time each day, so I use my phone for learning new stuff.

I suck at time management though, so I am not efficient at all.

I generally work about 6 hours a day at the moment im on holiday so its about 90 minutes three times a week just to keep up with things.

When im releasing new products though i have to be told to take a break. During my last launch i worked 24 hours straight and got great satisfaction out of it.

Even though i outsource as much as i can i still cant seem to go brlow six hours a day but i spread this out get up early and do a few hours then do some at night this way i can give my son lots of attention without it feeling like he comes second.

    kind regards

I usually work at least 8 hours a day (minimum of 5 days a week) - but I spread them out. I like working in the middle of the night so I get a few hours in then, when the house is quiet.

Then, through out the day I will work for an hour here and two or three hours there. By spreading the work out I never seem to tire of it. In fact, I can honestly say that I enjoy what I do most of the time. I have finally caught on to the idea of outsourcing some of the tasks that I don't like so well and that has made my work life even better than it was before.

I would like to have more things on autopilot so I could feel secure in working fewer hours - but I think I have workaholic tendencies, always have.

      I work 6 hours a day.
      2hrs reading and answering emails
      4hrs writing and adding content
Then I go fishing for 4hrs, that means I spend 10 hrs a day doing what I want.

I probably average about 4 hours per day, unless I'm working on a new project. After spending time with my kids in the evening, I usually go onto the forums for an hour or so.

I think it's important to get the balance right between family and work but, doing what we do, it's not so hard to do that. Before I quit my job to do this full time, it was much more difficult and I found myself burning the candle at both ends alot of the time.

I start out first thing in the morning and spend an hour getting ready reading emails etc. I then take a 15 minute break and stretch walk whatever then I work for 2 hours. I then take another break for 20-30 minutes. I then go for another 2 hours then a 30-45 minute break. I then go another 2 hours with a 30 minute break. I then will work on and off 1 hour at a time.for the rest of the day. I get the meat of the day in with my 2 hour intervals and it seems to be very productive as well as I don't get burned out during the day.

I spend about an hour a day doing real "work" on my online business, meaning things that need to be done. Mostly this pertains to:

    1) Dealing with customer support emails (maybe 20 min)
    2) Writing emails for autoresponder (once a week)
    3) Managing projects I outsource.

I spend WAY more actual time than this reading, learning, brainstorming, talking to people about it, etc. But I don't consider that work. It's just fun.

Since I got comfortable hiring people to do things for me I really feel better about my business. It does not run me. I run it.

I know the learning stuff will continue indefinitely. I enjoy learning. That's totally fine with me. It's not work. I can "shut it off" anytime to go play with my kids, or take my wife out. It's never on a critical path.

BTW I have actually tracked my time TO THE MINUTE when I worked in the 9-5 office job world. You know what? I got 2 hours of "work" done in a 8-10 hour day. That's it. There was SO much waste it's not funny. I believe that is typical.

4 to 6 hours. I try to break my time into two hour chunks where I work uninterrupted. I may do other work related stuff here and there, but those two hour chunks are where I get the bulk of stuff done.
