How much time does a website takes to get a good traffic? Mostly it is with SEO and social media but still there are some sites which are having less social followers and likes and are able to drive huge traffic and after looking to their site sometimes it seems to ask that what actually they have focused on.

The longer your site is around (provided your content is unique), the better exposure.

    Hello arshsethi,
In order to get traffic from SEO you have to wait about 90 to 180 days. So if you are a doing good SEO it's only a matter of time.
Social media on the other hand relies on effort more. If you build a strong online presence and make use of the web 2.0 platforms to their fullest capabilities, you can get very high amounts of traffic in much less time compared to SEO.

If they drive huge traffic without social media, it means that either they are very high in search engines results or they are paying for it though advertising, etc.

Fresh content is essential for a website in order to sustain high traffic. You must give visitors a good reason to visit your website again and it also helps in ranking.

That depends on what traffic methods you're using, and how much work you put out.

For example, if you're doing free methods, search engine traffic takes the longest to kick in (but can be quite significant) while you can get traffic much more quickly by guest posting on relevant blogs.

Also, collecting the email addresses of visitors is crucial if you want to build any sort of momentum with your traffic; returning visitors are often your most valuable (for several reasons).

    Regards,
    Daniel

    Less than a week...
    • Build a QUALITY site with QUALITY content (even if it's just a dozen pieces or so)
    • Build a matching Facebook page
    • Share all of your website content on your Facebook page
    • Spend $100-$200 on a well-planned and executed Facebook "Like" campaign
    • Publish a few new pieces of content a week to your site, sharing each on your Facebook page
    • Get traffic - lots of it

Folks, this isn't "theory". I do this with every new brand I launch. Works every time.

It all depends on you. If you want ALOT of traffic now, invest ALOT into paid advertising. If you want to take your time and go slow, then don't invest so much into paid advertising. Success is waiting on you dude.

There are many factors at play here. How is your content? How does your site look? Are you utilizing multiple digital marketing outlets? Are you active on social media? Once you check off all of those things you will see traffic increase on your website.

You have to think long-term and not short, instead of thinking about how quick I can get traffic. You should be thinking where can I find the traffic that is high converting and will be the best fit for me.

If you use Social Media, depending on how much work you put in and how good you are at it, you can start getting a fair bit of traffic very fast..

For SEO, it could take a little bit longer..

It all depends on how much work you put into it, your experience, your competition, etc, etc..
