Is it OK to mention my KickStarter project here ?

I set up a "KickStarter" campaign, without any backers / audience, and was 'flamed' by a KS Facebook group I sought advice from. Their advice: "Contact business forums" ... and Warrior sprang to mind.

Was wondering if it was OK to add a link within these pages. I know you cannot promote products per se, but "technically" I'm not selling anything as yet.

    There is a classified ads section in this forum and you can add your ad there.

    Great way to get a little exposure.

      I've just had a look at the forums, and apart from the WSO / marketplace, I can't see any place for classified ad listings. Could you advise further.

      I don't know what to try next. I started the KickStarter to raise funds for a project, and mentioned it on Facebook. They flamed me, and said to chat on a Biz Opp forums. So I try Warrior with that in mind, and they tell me I can't mention the campaign either. So how exactly CAN someone get started when they have zero budget to do any advertising!

        ON the main page where you see the listing (big red banner) for "WSO"....look just below the "create new offer" and "list existing offer"....

        you'll see blue links to the other ad sections here. It's confusing, I know, but if you go through the links and read the stickies at the top of the sections it will make sense.

        However, look closely at the Classified section (my own opinion here) - to determine if you might benefit from an ad there or not. I don't know if fund raising ads are allowed - might be listed in the rules. You may need to ask help desk.

          To Kay King: THANK YOU Something constructive. I would have been searching for ever to find those tiny little blue links.

          Re-editing this post: "Oh dear!" those links simply take you to the paid WSO section again! Oh well, we tried.

          Again, I am TRULY grateful to you for at least trying to point me in the right direction.

            The wSO section rules are designed to cover most of the paid ad sections....

            The WSO rules were very strict and design to cover the "special offers" section These days, most offers seem to run as "classified ads" which don't seem to have many, if any, restrictions.

    We have necessary rules to follow so might as well just strictly comply to the rules.

    If you really want to enjoy your stay here it's better if we just follow the rules.

    Let us all be a responsible member of this forum.
