Affiliate marketing beginner.

Only been at this a week.

Currently trying all the features of my web page so I have an understanding of them all. If you have suggestions or ideas, or anything I can change to increase traffic, please, feel free to speak up.

I really just want to be good at this and I know I can be with just some guidance. While this is my host, and I have a few key pieces, my current goal is $160 a day. I don't have any more capital to invest right now.

I need to go the free path from here on out. After I get caught up on the house bills, then I most DEFINITELY will be reinvesting. Starting with taking this host from 1 year basic, to 3 year pro. I know this isn’t a get rich quick scheme, but I think I have some good ideas on how to create specific traffic in a very narrow market.

First I need to get myself setup, meaning making sure my links are setup correctly so that I', getting paid, and two, what can I do to promote free classifieds in seeing more traffic? How often should I bump the ads?

All that matter is what your plan is for marketing. So what is it?
    - SEO
    - PAID ADS
    - SOCIAL NETWORKS
    - ???WHAT!!!

There are only 2 things you need to focus on:

    1. Generating targeted traffic.

    2. Converting that traffic into sales.

As an affiliate marketer you don't have to worry about much else.

Focus on those 2 things and you'll be much less confused about what you need to do.

    Regards,
    Daniel

Of course you need to make sure you have your ducks all lined up with Links

    BUT

you really need to focus on providing Content and Value to prospects and keep this on your top priority.

Maybe offer a Course giving them some real help to solutions.

But I think you may need to worry less about the Links ( right now since it is your first week) and worry about how you are going to find solutions for those in your Niche

Build a landing page with opt in form.

Create free contents (videos, audios, ebooks...) to give away to build list.

Drive traffic to your landing page.

    Promote affiliate offers through autoresponder.

Thank you so much for all the responses, very active community you have here.

Well, to start us, project sniper, I do not know. I don't understand any of them. I've been reading on all of them, but it's just getting more complicated. Everyone says their way is best, and they are all different.

This is going to be my primary income. I can put in a ton of hours. I love computers and could be on one for hours. Like 12-16. I can compartmentalized this task into a game.

Thank you for the advice Daniel. I'll find a way to get into a traffic stream.

Robert, I understand what you're saying. I'm doing 4 different niches. I know everyone says focus on 1, but I'm a multitasker.my wife will be doing 1, and me, 3. Once I start producing, I can get her on board.

    Chan, not sure I understand.

You're NEW but you are doing 3 things at once??!!

If you want to achieve success at anything, and this applies even more if you're new, focus on ONE thing at a time and get confident with it.

Otherwise it's like going to the supermarket, buying stuff off the first 2 shelves and then leaving your trolley and going next door to the bank, then to the post office, back to the supermarket for a few more things (IF your trolley hasn't been moved), then across the road to look at furniture and beds...then to the pharmacy, back to the supermarket and rinse and repeat ad infinitum.

You won't get all your need form the supermarket because your focus isn't solely on that task.

      Good luck.

I guess I was tired when I wrote that. It's not really 3 niches per say, more like a umbrella with multiple strings related to the main topic. At the time I had three. I'm now15 so my wife and I are adjusting our strategy to incorporate this new information.

Im going to be looking into those tools. Every little bit will help. I think I'm going to go the social media route with a landing pad (am I using that term correctly for my web site?) I can have the FB page be the distribution of updates and links to all types of stuff from my page. Like walking down the street and seeing a 4 floor arcade with a full speed inside track. Affiliate programs are less stressful, Drive Traffic to your links and they usually take care of the rest. To better monetize those leads, create a email list through capture pages which you give away something of value for free in swap for their email. Then you can go on about reselling them thru daily emails.

    Hope this helps

You said you're now 15? Not sure what that means. OK. 3 under one umbrella sounds more manageable.

Take it all at your own pace. Do ONE thing at a time and write a daily list of tasks you need to do. Prioritise the list so if the bottom ones don't get done that day, they can go onto the next day's list.

Good luck. Breathe deeply. Don't panic and don't stress.

That is very helpful information. I didn't think of that, and am sure I wouldnt have figured it out eventually but not untill after I already lost traffic.

I think what I mean to say, Is I am putting together a group of people, all with their own specialty. I maintain the site, posting links, publishing, and general over all managment. I give these people a place to write for free, and drive traffic from the multiple links from page to page all interconnected with my main. From there start teaching my skill to my team. Have everyone earning and maintaining their own sites. They will see the traffic because of the reputation we are going to try to gather. we have large settlements of family through out this country. Getting them involed opens us to all types of markets. I don't feel over whelmed. I could do this if I had the capital. Which I don't. So I have to start off here, trying to earn the free way as fast and as much as possible. I'm not playing a game, I'm not here to quit. I will be a driving force as soon as I know how this all goes together.

Hoplinks, not sure if mine are working or if they are done right at all. Don't know how to test them. Also, whats the easiest way to send hoplinks to fiverrs? How many screens do most of you have? How many computers? Is anyone really good with networking routers and such? I'm not afraid, im anxious, Im chomping at the bit to get that rabbit. I've been told so many times in my life, why dont you work on computers for a living? i'd always reply, i dont want to dislike my favorite hobby. Afraid that my work would make me despise the thing I cherish. I have a few loves in this world. One of which is my computer. I have been on 16 hour quests. I can learn short cuts and online language in no time. I have over 200 flash cards and am practicing terms. CHOMPPPPING!

So with this I let you all enjoy. If' you feel the vibe I'm getting, or are interested, I would love to pick you brain on what you know.

P.S. I love you Ladyaffiliate. <---- My wife. (Now thats support)

Yeah just send me a link. Each social network is a strategy of its own. Some are easier than others to use. Others have restrictions etc...

If you're going social. Use these tools.

Sorry I have been away, broken glasses makes it hard to wor, so I have been brainstorming instead. Now that I have a somewhat working pair of glasses, (new ones next week) I can get back to some typing.

I have named my site, and have a landing page for the fb account. Now I need to snaze up the web page, setup links, and get the first few items operational. That way I have page retention. I wanted to know, what is the best way to start an email list. I'd like to make my landing page free on the main landing page, but to start digging through everything, have a free option sign up, then two teirs of upgrades.

Special content and prizes on higher tiers. Eventually going to have a merch store.

All this starts with making my first $0.01. Im getting my main FB page up and running, gathering likes and followers. But I need something shorter term. Like in a day or two. I'd bee happy with $0.10 for the day, as long as something was working.

Wait! Slow down... check that everything is set up right.

Few questions? Are you into affiliate marketing? or Adsense? I am confused on how to help you based on your desire of earning 10 cents for a day.

Thank you for your concern. I'm going to try any and all of it. The 10 cents is that first income you recieve that lets you know you have thiings working. Thats all I'm after, a bit or two on the fishing line would be nice.

I have a web site, a few pages started, a fb account, tumblr, reddit. I can do almost anything, I'm willing to also expand. That's why I need to find a source of income to start earning to upgrade.

Find an example of the person or business you would like to create, and reverse-engineer the process. You will more than likely find that most successful marketers simply focus on promoting affiliate offers in profitable niches using the combination of free and paid traffic generation methods. Also, focus on building a list, because if all else fails, at least you will have some form of an asset from your efforts.

What Trey said is great advice. You will also find that once you do it for a while you will have your own style of doing things. All successful people do the same core things, they just do it in their own way.

I think I have the way to get traffic down. So I think that base is covered. It just takes a little time and lots of effort and battery life. (My poor phone... actually its samsungs crappy batteries.)

The one thing im not sure on is how to build an email list. I have something on my page the looks like a sign in, but im just not sure. If it is, where is the info landing?

Totally agree. I just got accepted to adsense, so at least there is that. Then I can start focusing on other things, Like upgrades and content fill.
