Digital Products or eBooks (Same Thing Different Name)

Hi everyone,

Is there a difference between the two? I would say that an eBook is a digital product but a also under that category would be videos, audiobooks, ringtones, software, anything else??

I think video is going to take over the eBooks. Any thoughts on this? Thanks J

Video won't take over my writing business. But it has helped many people who are more visual in how they understand things.

I think both does just well. Many want to read and many also with videos. There are things that are best delivered through text and others through videos.

Digital products can be softwares as such besides ebooks.

For example netflix is a digital product.

A membership training site is a digital product.

I have to agree with this..

Digital product can be ebooks, software, scripts, audio books, videos, membership sites, even pictures/cartoons etc...

So in fact it is a excellent question, you see, it depends how people interprete it :-)

    Hey J, written/text content isn't going anywhere.

Granted, videos are rising in popularity but there will always be people who prefer to read than watch a video.

Not to mention, it makes finding relevant points in the content easier as you can skim written words.

    Regards,
    Daniel

I don't think so. People like things the way that they prefer them to be - and are the most leisurely for them. Even with all the plastic bags being used at grocery stores all around the country.... some people STILL want their groceries put into a large brown paper bag.

I was reading recently the last year or so that E Books have made a comeback thanks no other than Amazon and Kindle. Think Matt Bacak was making this comment if I remember correctly

So essentially the definition of digital is that it can be paid for online and received online either by email or downloaded and nothing tangible is sent to the buyer. Ok sounds good. I was also thinking affiliate programs where something tangible is sent to the buyer but it's not just because digital cash was earned doesn't mean it's actually a digital product. Or is that the wrong definition of digital? I think eCommerce would encompass both aspects intangible and tangible and digital would only refer to products delivered over the internet by email or download. So if someone started a website called "EarnDigitalCash.com" would it be expected that this website only include intangible products received vial email and download or could it include affiliate programs of all types where tangible products where mailed to the buyer? Any one else have insight on this? Thanks J

Its funny, some people prefer videos, and some prefer Ebooks. I like both, depending on the product creator, and the topic.

It just depends what YOU need, each person is different.

Videos are very handy to "see" how some things are done :-)

Ebooks can give a lot more information, links and even pictures and you still have it after you closed your browser ( if you didn't bookmark )

I still don't understand people thinking there is a battle between those 2 :-)
Because they are completely different, so I don't know where people get the idea videos took over ebooks!
      Funny thing.....
