business entity required for private labeling on German Amazon ?

I wanted to start selling on the German Amazon... private label items.

When I signed up for US seller central account, I was able to set up my account and list the products under a brand name (as opposed to selling as an individual with my own name).

I wanted to do the same on German Seller central, but here the process seems to be a bit different.
The very first fields I have to fill in are questions about my business entity - from the legal perspective.

Obviously, I don't have a business set up yet, so this is not possible for me.

Could anybody explain to me, why there is such a difference in the requirements for listing a product on the US / UK Amazon and the German Amazon ? Is it simply because of the country's laws ?

Any of you guys selling on (most likely drop-shipping) in more than one country ?

What would be the best way for me to start selling, without going through the tedious (and costly) process of registering a business ?
Of course, only as a temporary solution, for the initial phases - if there proves to be a high demand for the product, then I am going to set up a proper business entity as well. Should I just start small and sell under my own name, just to get the initial product validation ?

Thanks!

go to the amazon seller forums, just google them, and log in with your seller id. I do not get why people simply will not go to amazon for amazon questions.

that's what I did.. no response. Unfortunately German Amazon doesn't seem to have forums.
I just wanted to see if other people here sell in more countries.

Hi McCloud94, you can sell on amazon.de as a private person. I just went through the registering process to see and make sure.

The very first question asked is about a registered business. If you choose no, then another line opens to ask you if you register a business or a private person. If you check private you also have to check the box below - stating you are not selling for a business. And then you're a private person selling on amazon.

I just went through the process to make sure - and you can register as a private individual. On the first question tick off no and then on the second tick off private and then tick off the checkbox below that you are not trading for a business and you're done.
