Best tool for "all-you-can-eat" membership site?

Hi folks,

Has anyone created a successful "expert" membership site which uses the Netflix model of one price per month for "all you can consume" info on a specific subject?

I am looking into an alternative model to creating full-blown courses and would like to create a repeat revenue model using a library of content.

The questions I have are:

1) What is the best Wordpress plugin to do this? I guess it would be like a course (Udemy/Coursera/Lynda) style plugin, but more like a Netflix database where you can either browse or search by category / tag and then watch a video or listen to audio. I have DAP but the front-end is not designed for managing content this way.

2a) Do you think a tiered pricing model works better. e.g. Free = 3 credit a month, Pay per video (after that), with an unbeatable monthly subscription for "all-you-can-consume" with new content added each month.
or
2b) Maybe a drip option which doesn't overload people when they first sign up?

Thanks!

I believe aMember Pro would do everything you are suggesting, including the sale of credits (through a plugin).

I would ask this at their public forum and see what their community of expert users say.

Can anyone recommend a good Theme to go with a membership site (I am using DAP) that would work well for a video library?

Bumping a thread is called spamming as it has nothing to do with the same thread title and being lazy and not doing any research yourself! try looking in google then come back if you have no luck

Hi Regional Warrior - I wasn't trying to bump/spam. The first response I got was about aMember Pro which is a Wordpress plugin not a theme, hence posting another question about recommend themes (that work with membership plugins). I realised the initial question should have asked about themes and not plugins so will be careful to try to clarify it better next time.

Actually, aMember Pro can stand alone without the need for a theme or plugin. It will give you a very nice looking (but not fancy) membership site completely outside of WP.

Or you can use it behind any WP theme you want, to just control access to content.

          It is very flexible.

Any plugin that allows you to drip content might work. So amember, s2member, etc might be good choices for you.
