How To Run Legit FB Ads For Weight Loss Without Cloaking?

by bigballin6161 11 replies
I want to run FB ads for weight loss without cloaking. My offline business has to do with health and weight loss so I want to run ads for them. However when I tried to run an ad it was disapproved because you can't call people out for being overweight. Did I just get a bad reviewer?

I can help but I'd have to see your ad to make a recommendation. Can you post a screenshot?

It was a picture of a scale and the title was: Weight Loss Tips

First person disapproved it saying cant use the scale.

Second person disapproved it saying you cant call out people on being fat.

So how would you run ads for weighloss is the question?

What did the rest of the ad say? I'd avoid "weight loss tips" and go with something like "Trying to Get Healthier?"

Yes I could do that but "trying to get healthier" is alot different then "trying to lose weight". I need to somehow be able to call out these people that need to lose weight through my ads, but "trying to get healthier" will not cut it.

Like how would you run an ad for A CB weight loss product?

Someone who is trying to lose weight is trying to get healthier. I wouldn't run an ad for a CB product. What I would do is build a fan page, launch a "like" campaign to build a following, and then promote the product indirectly on either my fan page or on my website.

I eventually wanted to run ads for my own CB weight loss product. If I follow your outline I would still have to buy likes for a weight loss product- which you cant do. Even if i was to get around the likes I would still have to pay to reach all of my audience which would be calling out people who have to lose weight. Do you understand what I am saying? It seems like they don't want to let you advertise anything that has to do with weight loss. Unless I am doing it wrong!

There is a social media sub forum some of the experts dont come to main board so you may want to get the thread moved to there , just a thought

My Facebook posts typically have a reach of about 50%. With a fan base of 10000 people, my message will typically hit 5000 of my fans. Boosting a post generally hits the rest for about $0.04 per engagement. Your posts don't have to mention anything about being overweight. Simply talking about healthy and low-calorie foods will draw their attention while likely avoiding the wrath of Facebook reviewers.

You can advertise weight loss but have to be VERY CAREFUL in how you do it.

Thanks man I think I know what you are getting at. I guess I got to be more creative!

Exactly! Creativity is the key when trying to walk that fine line.

Another alternative would be to create a FB Leads Campaign about eating healthy or something indirectly related to weight loss, have those FB leads scraped into your own autoresponder then promote weight loss products to them directly at your own leisure. The only software I know capable of scraping FB Leads is a software by Jimmy Kim "LeadsTunnel".
