Am I charging too much for sponsored posts ?

I am running a football news blog, which has got 30,0000 monthly page views, and I charge
£60 per article for potential vendors.

It has been two days after I gave them my quote, I still have no received any reply for those who are interested in sponsorship. (6 vendors expressed their interest)

Am I charging too much ?
Anybody who has suggestion regarding how to negotiate the sponsored deal ?
Do I need to write an email to re-quote ? Any advice ?

Do you mean 30k or 300k monthly page views?

Just ask them. Follow the links from your competitors sites then email them with info about your own site, your stats, and what you can do for them.

Like someone mentioned though, you really haven't given the people you've already approached adequate time to get back to you yet.

I was going to ask the same.. in your niche with the same traffic, how much do people charge?

2 days might not be enough time to judge as well

I get 10% of your traffic and charge $100 per sponsored post from advertisers, but thats another niche. It all depends on your niche, traffic demographics, quality, etc.

Thats a fairly reasonable rate in my opinion.

it really depends on your competition.. but it would be good to try to contact more advertisers to get a better idea

Know the rate of your other competitor. By that you can determine if your offering too much or just fair enough.

If you can guarantee a high quality service to your customers then the price your offering is reasonable.

It seems to me, trying to look at your posted info like a potential sponsor, that you might be out of whack.

At 30K pageviews per month, assuming that every visitor sees the sponsored post, that's about £2 CPM for that month.

I'd be wondering how many of those 30k views I would really get, and how long before my paid-for post disappears into the archives, never to be seen again.

It's not about how many views your entire site gets. It's about how many views you can deliver on the paid post.

Do market research homework and see what the current price range is amongst your competitors. Also check out how much traffic they're getting. Are you making decent amount of money from your site ASIDE from sponsored posts?
