% for opt-in conversion

I have been running FB traffic to a opt-in landing page. May I know what is the industry standard % for opt-in conversion, and % for Click Through Rate?

Thank you.

    There is no "standard".

    It depends on many factors.

I agree with Brent, there are so many factors that it's impossible to determine the optimal conversion rate. Even if we knew all the details about your traffic and offer, it would still be difficult to give you an standard %.

It's really hard and impossible to determine the optimal conversion rate.

Even if you have enough information about your traffic you would still find it difficult to determine standard %.

There are really a lot of factors to be consider.

Do not expect more than 10% of total opt-ins with any traffic method.

If you get more, you are more than lucky.

My opt in rate is usually 35%. I am not sure about facebook but I get traffic from article marketing and forum marketing.

It really depends on the traffic source.

I can give you some numbers I've seen in my own niche businesses, for lead-generation landing pages:

    (1) Email traffic from an authority that endorses your product: As high as 75%
    (2) Relevant, but cold email traffic: 50% is considered excellent
    (3) PPC: 35% is good
    (4) Banners: 20% would make me very happy

    Hope this helps!

Many people have had great success, and epic failures with FB ads. In general, many people find great failure with their squeeze page or *conversion percentage* altogether.

Your best bet is to make several different landing pages, and throw high quality traffic to it, and then measure the results, and proceed with the winning landing page (or squeeze page) that has the highest opt-in rate percentage.

There's no "industry standard" for opt-in rates.

That depends on your offer, how well you communicate it to your audience, and how targeted the traffic is (to name a few core factors).

In some cases 20% opt-in rates are considered high while 75% opt-in rates might be typical for another campaign.

    Daniel
