Niche Website --> Proper Structure (1 Affiliate Program OR 2+)

Hi everyone,

I'm just wondering when building a niche website do I want to market and promote only one affiliate program or multiple affiliate programs within the same niche? Does it really matter?? Can anyone tell me any other information on properly building a niche website? Thanks J

You should promote more then one offer. As long as you have enough content and it doesnt look like one offer after another then people will not think twice. All over the internet people are doing reviews on products so if you give content that people will like to read and mix in some "reviews" that will actually turn into sales. Dont be scared to offer more then one product.

Thanks Cary so for a website that is say 10 pages with good reviews would you say it's reasonable to have 3-5 affiliate programs that are related to the content on the niche website? No more than 5 no fewer than 3? Thanks J

    Jordo...

You aren't promoting the affiliate program. You are promoting multiple, individual products.

How many different brands do you suppose are represented in Walmart, or any of the other big box stores? "Niche"ify that, if you like... how many clothing lines? ...how many music publishers, ...how many cell phone manufacturers?

The affiliate networks just provide a way for you to locate multiple products in a single place. There is NO good reason to limit yourself to a single affiliate program.

If there is a better product on a different affiliate network than the one you are currently promoting, consider joining that affiliate network so you can promote that product.

If there are products on a different affiliate network that you can't sell from your current network, do you just pretend they don't exist? ...write off that potential income?

As long as you mix and match the products you are promoting through affiliate programs with the type of content you are developing, everything is fine. Also, try no to spam your readers with too many offers. Otherwise, as long as there is balance between high-quality content and offers, you can use as many affiliate programs as you like

Maybe product A is not converting as well as product B. It is OK to have 2 or more.

    Imagine this though:

A person likes both products and buys both. You just earned more commissions. This can happen.

Well actually, i wouldnt even limit it to 5 offers. Let me give you an example. I have an affiliate network and i also own 6 supplement lines. I have affiliates who have websites that appear to be supplement review websites, they just explain whats in the product , what you can gain and how to take it, with links throughout linking to the landing page. Some have 30-45 offers on the same website, the thing is, they make it seem like its a review site, and its normal for a review site to have multiple products. Its all about how you present the material!

WOW! Now that is a true value answer! Thank you Cary Joseph! It's funny but I kind of new that without knowing and it was still very unclear but now that you put it into words it all just makes perfect sense. I'd love to hear any other view points you can ad. Thanks again Jordan
