Check out "Blogging With John Chow" and "3 Minute Expert" by Ray Higdon.

Also, you should follow Jon Morrow's blog, BoostBlogTraffic.com

If your purpose is to make money with your blog, I think the best source for information on how to do that, by far, is ProBlogger (Darren Rowse).

The best action plan is to find the best resources and learn how to focus on niche keywords. The domain you chose is quite general and the competition is high in some of the keywords.
Once you manage to create high-quality content, you can consider affiliate campaigns and email marketing to increase your income.

  • I am regularly asked for recommendations on different tools, training, resources and services available to blogging. People particularly want to know what tools I use to run my blogs.

As a result I’ve put together a list of recommended blogging resources that I’ve either personally used (in most cases) or which have come highly recommended to me by people I trust.

I will add to these lists as I come across new blogging resources that I recommend.

I am just starting my new blog as well. I would say, anything Ray Higdon would be a good start. Not really familiar with boostblogtraffic.com but I will definitely be checking that out

Nobody can answer that without knowing your end goals.

Do you want to make money most?

Do you want to build a brand most?

Do you want to become an authority most?

Do you want to sell your own products most?

Do you want to affiliate market most?

Each of the above can be fine-tuned for that particular goal.

You may want to compile a List of some of the top bloggers in this Niche. And subscribe to a couple of their newsletters and frequent their Sites.

John Romaniello is a good one that I enjoy subscribing to and getting good info. from.

You of course do not want to directly emulate them but it can give you some ideas and direction of where and what you want to do

One site that is often recommended is AdrienneSmith.net. Great advice on building a blog and she makes a point of responding to every comment and question on her posts. Good idea to check her out and get on her mailing list.
