Lead Conversion

Could be a number of things.

Is there a demand for the information you are providing.

If there is then you can make small changes to you landing page. This is part of all the fun with this stuff is optimizing it. Why don't you go ahead and post your link here so we can take a look at it for you.

Simply sending traffic to a squeeze page.

This is my guess of why you're not getting subscribers so far.

1. You haven't sent enough traffic
2. The traffic isn't coming from a good source
3. The squeeze page isn't irresistible enough
4. Maybe your optin form isn't set up correctly?

Something to consider.

The very first thing I would suggest is that you simplify, condense, and focus your home page so that the visitor can easily and quickly tell exactly what your business is about and what you offer. Otherwise, if the visitor is confused he/she will be gone in a matter of seconds.

Currently, your home page is not conducive to any type of conversion.

Your home page is too confusing - it's too busy and not focused enough. It's difficult to tell what you're about.

The first thing I see is "Digital Bloggers - What will you do with your digital life?" So I assume you are talking to people with blogs.

Then I see "Digital Marketing Experts Looking for Partners" So now I have to assume your not talking about blogs, but instead you're a bunch of marketing experts looking for partners, most likely to fund your business.

Then I see you're talking about the number of students you've helped over the years. So now I assume you are maybe coaches with a high priced training program.

Then you state "Start Your Own Home Based Business . . ." So now I assume you're business development mentors selling some kind of home business startup training.

When it's not readily apparent what you do, the prospect will quickly lose interest and will be off to another site.

You mean visitors to subscribers?

Just take a look at other websites in your niche and get some ideas on how you can implement their lead capture vehicle into your site. Don't copy.......Just get ideas and then test to see if you are getting people to join your list.

If you are getting traffic and not getting opt-in's you need to examine your lead magnet. It needs to be a no brainer for them to get it. It needs to be something that is NOT going to take a LONG time for them to consume. It needs to solve 1 problem very quickly (perhaps multiple ways to solve the same problem). COnsider my lead magnet on epicconversions.com (50 Ways to Flood your Website with Targeted Traffic) It is converting at approx. 20% right now.

That's a big jump from the 7% my old lead magnet was converting at. I really narrowed it down to just one specific problem that my target market was facing and I gave multiple ways to solve it.

The best way to convert leads into subscribers is by offering something really great to those that join your list. Think outside the box and try to offer something as useful as possible.
