Crazy Traffic on WF..?

What's going on..?

It's been between 8,500 - 10,000+ users in warrior special offers during the last 15 hours or so.. And about 8,000 people in "main internet marketing"..

I usually see an average of 2,000 people in warrior special offers, until the peak of about 4000. I've never seen 10K+.

Where does all this traffic come from?

Reminds me of the old days when product launches were done here.

    Could be that. Or bots!

Maybe WF is getting its traffic volume up OR Google is dancing again

According to some SEO news sites, Google is going through an update this March

It's still too soon to tell how BIG the changes will be

Still, it's MIND BLOWING seeing temporary changes like the traffic WF is getting

Usually it takes a few days or up to 2 weeks for the dust to settle

    I'm very skeptical.

Saturday there is 10,000 online and now at 3 AM on a Thursday there is 47,000??

I don`t think that these stats are real or because of the Google cha-cha. Probably some bots passing by, trying to be friendly.

Right now, it says there are just over 10,000 people viewing the Main Internet Marketing Discussion Forum, and just over 12,000 people viewing Warrior Special Offers.

    That's definitely fishy.

I'd like to think that's WF getting more exposure in Google thanks to algorithm updates but I don't want to celebrate just yet.

    Regards,
    Daniel

This could be because of update for a better site.

This could also mean more user which means more money in return.

Try placing a banner up top or the day and see what happens. Of course a wise man will test his banner and make sure its converting but once you have something spend the 50 bucks and put your banner on this site and watch the traffic leads and sales come in.

Its probably automated bots as I dont see any increase in the post interactions.

Only time I see a massive increase in the view counts is when the warrior forum send out an email promoting an offer and folk click on the linlk.

Damn, gave away a wee secret tip there .

The stats are bogus. Like I mentioned over in Off-Topic when discussing this same thing, my sig link is getting FAR FEWER clicks than it has on average over the last month or so. With such an "increase" in forum traffic, my clicks certainly wouldn't have dropped off.

I don't buy it at all. Probably a change in what they are classifying as "online".

WF is a a forum full of Internet Marketers so such a traffic is expected.

Being the No. 1 largest forum on Internet, building relationships with other IMs is pretty much possible in this case.

However, do have a look at the Dos & Don'ts 8 Do's and Don'ts for Marketing on Online Forums and Message Boards of working on WF.

Not when the traffic stats have shown an average of fewer than 2000 people online over the last several months and then suddenly on a Monday morning, they show 15,000 online.

      Something's not right.

At the time I write this, there's almost 13,000 people in the WSO section and 12,000 in the main internet marketing section.. Okay, I'm done. Totally bogus.

      Don't believe everything you see.

Yesterday afternoon this is what showed on the WF site:
Active Users: 35241 (1601 members and 33640 guests)

But today if you look up the recorded numbers from yesterday:
Active Users: 8144 (417 members and 7727 guests)

Likely a glitch in the site connected perhaps to the problems on the site in the past week...??? Or counting page views rather than visitors??? Clearly, something is broken or has changed.

I agree; this is most likely connected to the login problems. Similar issue of how long should a visitor "persist" to be counted as the same person. The logins clearly changed this value a few times over recent weeks. It's reasonable that changing that value would also affect the count of visitors, i.e., "Here's a cookie that identifies this person as Kay, and it's Kay's same IP address, etc., but that's all from five whole minutes ago, which used to count as the same visitor, but now it doesn't, so now I'm going to count this Kay as a totally new, different visitor."

It smells like ham and kitty litter. Warrior forum has always been a bit shaky because of all the Kentucky fried spamsters trying to penny-push their way to the suburbs of San Diego.
