YouTube Alternative for Videos

Back in late 2014, I got a YouTube account banned because I posted a lot of short videos that I created to do affiliate marketing. I guess the account as a whole looked too spammy.

Well, I found the videos again on my computer. I kept them all. I have the video (in MP4 format) along with text and keywords and a good video preview image for each one. There have to be about 100 of them, just sitting there.

I'm wondering what people think - should I try posting them on another YouTube-like site or set up a website with them all? If I'd put them on my own site, I'd have to get them all converted to HTML5 formats, which would take a while.

While my videos were up, I was making some money, which was great. It would be nice to do something with all this content. I'm open to any ideas.

You can stream your videos on your site in mp4 format. You don't have to convert them to anything. HTML5 is not a video format anyway, you can't "convert" an mp4 video to "html5".

Other than YouTube, you can also try Dailymotion but they will probably ban you too.

Thanks I guess I could stick with MP4 but I do want the videos to work on all devices.

And yeah, I said "HTML5 formats" because I didn't want to list them all - I know there's no such format. :-)

Huh, you do want the videos to work on all devices, that's why you want to convert them from MP4 to HTML5. Is there a device that doesn't play MP4 videos?

Just use the videos on your site along with good written piece as they are and you will be fine. Seeing as I can't recommend a video site that won't ban you, better to use them on your site than to risk getting banned again on a video site and start all over from square one.

I've never used it, but will Vimeo work for you? I know others have used it.

Posting them on your site is the best solution because no one can ban you from posting there (it's your site). However, try to avoid making the entire site look spammy and find a way to include these videos with high-quality content.

Spamming is a common phenomenon faced by all the top ranked extremely popular high traffic sites. Especially, YouTube being a part of Google, restrictions do not surprise me due to too much of crap promotions going all over the site.
