Looking To hire A Article Writer But Unsure What To Ask !

Hi Guys,
I`m going to find a article writer for myself as i just cannot find the time to do everything but i`ve no idea what to expect from them.
Can i ask how i go about finding a good writer and what they need from me its really the keyword part i`m confused about ..Can i explain..

My site sells a Bodybuilding supplement called Creatine, After some keyword research from me the keywords `Best Creatine` get good search and not `Too` much comp i think with some work i can get some good traffic with these keywords.

So if i want to say hire a article writer to write me say 10 articles using the keywords `best creatine` what can i expect for the writer ?? The part that gets me is the article title do i have to think of the title give it to the writer so he can compose a article around the title i choose or do i just give the writer the `best creatine` keywords, they write the article and i think of the title to fit around the article ???? This is very confusing !!

Also i can i expect that the writer will enter the keywords every 100 words or so and write the article in such a way as to tempt the reader to click though to my site of course this is what i want but i wondered if this is just the normal procedure and infact ALL hired writers will write articles with a click though in mind `just standard`..

Pls someone help here the keyword , title thing is really confusing !!

Jim

    Hi Jim,

There are a few different ways to go about this but the important thing is to make sure that your writer knows what you want.

Tell your writer that you're posting the articles on directories, so you need them written with click-throughs in mind, otherwise how do they know?

Everyone has slightly different ideas of what constitutes best SEO practice, so tell your writer what KW density you want, any long tails to target, bold, italics, etc.

Regarding headlines, if you have some good ones, give them to the writer. If not, they will write titles for you - just make sure that they know to put "best creatine" in each title.

There are always lots of complaints here at the WF about poor writers, but imo a lot of the problems are caused by poor communication.

Most writers are pleased to be given detailed instructions, because they know what's expected of them, so there are no unpleasant surprises down the line.

Take some time to get a good writer, make sure you pay them a decent price, and make it clear what you want from them.

It depends on your writer. Personally, I prefer to have a suggested title (with the understanding that I may change it), a list of SEO keywords (density optional), and a general idea of length (with the understanding that I may be within 25 words or so on either side of it).

In general, just tell the writer what you want. You want ten articles optimised for the words "best creatine" at about 2% KW density. If you don't give suggested titles, the writer will probably come up with them; if not, write your own.

If I was writing for you, I'd want (a) the preferred keyword(s) and (b) the URL to your site an/or an explanation of what you were going to do with your resource box, where traffic was going, what you planned on doing with it, the kind of product you were promoting, etc. Of course, we would set up project specs (article length, tone, delivery schedule, etc.).

If a good writer has that information, it shouldn't be difficult for him or her to come up with winners.
