Has Anybody Used the Site, Fiverr, to Get a Logo Designed for Their Site?

Hey guys,

It's been a long time since I've been on here. I've had a inspirational blog on Wordpress since 2010, and I've been writing consistently on it since 2014. I'm now ready to take my blog to the next level and FINALLY get a logo created for my site/inspirational concept with consideration of the brand I'm looking to bring across. I've been told about the design site, Fiverr before so I went and checked it out but I haven't hired anyone yet.

Has anyone on here used Fiverr to get their logo designed? If so, any suggestions or is there anything I should be looking out for before I hire someone to do a logo for me? Has the site been helpful for you?

Would appreciate any suggestions/advice...

I haven't used Fiverr to find a logo designer, but I know people who have. Search by highest rating, and read buyer reviews before choosing which seller to go with.

Yes, two things come to mind.

1- Be careful that your design isn't merely pirated from another logo with maybe only the name being changed. No professional designer is going to start from scratch and give you a one-of-a-kind design for what he/she's getting paid on Fiverr.

2- Be careful that the image(s) used in the design is not just "lifted" (stolen) from some random site online. You will be the new image owner and if someone claims copyright infringement they will come after you, not the Fiverr designer that lives in Chumba Wumba.

Have you tried designing your own logo?

If you have passion for arts like drawing and sketching it would be easier for you to create your own logo.

You can guarantee that it is originally made by you.

Just to avoid conflicts in the future.

My area of expertise isn't within drawing and sketching this is why I have to hire someone to design a logo for me.

Don't make this mistake by choosing Fiverr designer to get Logo design for your business.. Fiverr designers always try to copy other designers' work, in other words, they just replicate the symbol and rewrite the business name with awesome fonts. Be careful before making any purchase..

It depends on what you are going to use it for. If you are someone, for example, who creates tons of niche blogs and doesn't really need the logo to be super professional, then Fiverr can be a great option.

If you are creating a logo for your own brand, then maybe you want to go with a professional graphic designer.

I have to say that I have used Fiverr dozens of times for logos, YT channel headers, ecovers, etc, and I have gotten some incredible work done for $5 or $10.

Also, it's important to note that Fiverr has evolved a little bit from the original business model of everything being $5. Sellers can charge much more for their work now, and add on lots of extra services, etc.

As with most things, you get what you pay for. That being said, if you are willing to sift through some reviews and directly contact a few designers on Fiverr, you may find what your looking for. It's been my experience that if you can send them an example (basic sketch on paper) of what you have in mind and the gig allows multiple edits, you can end up with a quality original logo. Best of luck to you.

Never really used Fiverr, people have so many extras and addons you usually pay more than $5 anyway. It gets annoying and confusing for me. I would rather use freelancer.com and get something done quick and know what I am paying.

Just like in any freelancing network, you have good professionals and bad professionals. You can spend anything between $5 to $200 on a logo. I love Fiverr as a buyer and as a seller, so I might not be as objective as some other posters, but I do believe you can find amazing designers at Fiverr for a much affordable rate than you would get anywhere else.

I used to have a guy named "thetwo" who did amazing work, but I don't know if he's available anymore. I tried hiring someone else, and they did a crap job. Maybe I could've searched around a little more, but instead I just familiarized myself with the free program at pixlr.com, and I just ended up making one myself.

Uh. No it isn't. It's very similar but it's fine. I can't see it full size. But I could fix that in photoshop in about 5 minutes. Just fill the arrowhead in with the clone stamp tool. Alt+Click the white part of the arrow then carefully paint the red part in, being careful about where the clone source is coming from. Small brush like 2-3px, set hardness to 0%, flow either 50% or 100%. Try it both ways. You could make it much more realistic by created 2 new layers, fill the arrow head in first on the first layer so it's a triangle shape, then clone the layer to a new layer, then screw with the position and the filters to make it look better. (More advanced I don't have a ton of time to go into detail...) Google how to "sharpen a blurry photo with photoshop."

You might need to do that technique on the bottom edge to make it look more defined.

If you put it on a file host I that doesn't require a warroom membership I'll take a crack at it for free.

All logos removed with Clone stamp Tool:

I do it all the time. They're cheap, so sometimes I'll buy 3-4 and pick the one I like the best. A cheaper way to do that would be get one done, if you don't like it, get another done, repeat until you like one. I have probably a pile of 100+ logos I got made on fiverr and just never used them. Logos are kind of like that, companies usually make a bunch, pick the one they like the best, then come up with a bunch of variations of it, then pick, repeat until everybody just seems to like one the best and new variations are "superior."

I know a guy who used to work at a comic book company (no joke) and they spent a ton of time working on their logo/title art. A TON OF TIME... Ridiculous, designing then doing case studies for some...

If anyone thinks you can get a great logo for a real business for $5, wake up and go back to sleep as Moe would tell Larry and Curly after he slapped them.

If it's for a typical AM website, $5 may be too much.

Fiverr is great for a lot of stuff but if you want a decent (and unique!) header for your site I really would look elsewhere.

And it doesn't have to cost the earth!

I considered Fiverr to get a logo, but the designs look sorta cheap and amateurish as you'd expect for about $3.90

I think you need to pay nearer $50 to get a quality logo with care and detail put into the design.

Just because it's called Fiverr, doesn't mean you can only spend $5 on your logo. There are extras you can pay for almost all gigs there and after the reviews, that should be the next thing you check.

You can get really good stuff done on Fiverr if you find the right people and pay the right price.

Use a thick font for the first word, a thin version of the same font for the second. So many business logos follow that formula.

Whenever i need a new graphic design created, i go straight to Fiverr. Can't beat the prices for what you get from some vendors. Otherwise you'd have to go to someone else's main website and shell out $100's depending on what you're looking for. It's a marketing thing for them - and i get that. But like i said for ME, i go straight to Fiverr first to get my designs done.

I've had a lot of work done for me. Don't go into these things blindly. First search for the service you want, then find the person with the best reviews.

Don't buy yet. PM them, ask them for samples or anything to prove they respond intelligently and in a timely fashion, then place a small order once you have verified the quality of work and timeline.

I've found many Fiverr sellers provide low quality logos and often their logo portfolios are not theirs. My advice would be to use a freelancer website and get several different logos created by a number of bidders so you can choose the one you like the best.

I personally have used Fiverr for all of my logos. It took a few tries for me to get someone who would do a good looking logo, but I did finally find someone. Here's the gig I recommend: https://www.fiverr.com/ei8htz/design...6-210dcbfb0156

I've had this guy do 2 logos for me and I was really pleased. Also, I haven't had problems with people on Fiverr copying other logos. If you just tell them exactly what you want with an example logo you should be fine.

Yes, I have created several logos for my physical business and internet business and the first is to look for people with several and I mean 100's to 1000's of 5 or close to 5 star reviews. Also top rated sellers or 1st or 2nd level sellers. These sellers are the ones who are even getting fiverr attention. I have been using fiverrr for over a year and have tried all methods and got burned way to much because of using inexperienced sellers. Contact them and ask for work from them and if they are willing to offer reviews or past work then they know what they are doing. Don't be afraid to tell them that you want proof that they are going to deliver its your money not theirs (If they aren't don't worry their are millions of other uses to look from). Lastly look for unlimited revisions or at least three to 5 revisions will secure that you are going to get what you want. If their first idea sucks then you know you will get several more tries to you get what you want! Hope this helps
    Jasmine.

Notice a lot of people here saying Fiverr logo designers copy another logo. Mind linking to one such designer with at least 10 ratings as a reference/example? Should be easy since you all say it's true right?
