Website Content --> Can It Be Purchased ???

Hello everyone,

Thanks for your input once again for all my questions. I know I ask a lot of them.

I was just listening to a web guru on YouTube and he was talking about "buying his domain name for $10 and his content for $20 and his links for $120"

Just wondering what he is referring to with this? He didn't go into further detail.

Was he referring to buying website content? Can you actually purchase website content? Or is that just hiring a writer?

Also buying links? What does he mean by that? Thanks J

You can buy pre-written content from places like Constant Content. It's pretty much PLR, though -- as in, other sites have already published it, too.

Not a bad idea if you're not depending on SEO traffic. If you want it to rank in the search engines, though, it's better to be unique.

Buying links is exactly as it sounds -- buying backlinks from other people's websites, PBNs, big authority likes (like Huffington Post, etc) or buying tons of GSA / SAPE spam links.

      Thanks Synnuh for your answer.

I understand the content needs to be unique to get SEO ranking and not get penalized. Any websites you can recommend for unique content as that is the only type of content I would consider. Is Fiverr good for that?

Also, buying links is buying backlinks from other people's websites. I'm still unsure how this works. PBNs are? GSA / SAPE are? Spam links sounds bad??

      Thanks J

Fiverr sucks for most things, hate to say it.

Hire private writers. There's a ton available here in the WSO section.

WordAgents is a solid group of writers. The owner is a good dude, too.

    http://wordagents.com/

TextBoss starts at 3 cents per word.

When you're paying 3 cents per word, you can ask for revisions guilt-free and give them specific instructions on what you're looking for -- most of the time, they'll get it right.

    http://www.warriorforum.com/warriors...s-editors.html

If you want premium content and a hassle-free experience, expect to pay 5 cents per word, or more.

    PBNs are private blog networks.

Check out RankNest. Super high quality network, and he doesn't sell thousands of links from it, so it's not loaded down with junkie sites.

    http://ranknest.com/

GSA and SAPE are pure spam. If you've never heard of them, it's not a good idea to use them.

I can't agree with this enough.

Too many people like to pay for "premium content" at around 1 cent per word.

J, if you're buying any original content, you'll want to never forget this.

Granted there might be some exceptions but they're rare and don't stay lower-priced for long.

      Regards,
      Daniel

Yeah, right Fiverr sucks at most of the things but there are pretty good deals on Fiverr too. You just have to check the background of the service provider.

Some nice companies are using to sell their services on Fiverr too. But there are only some.

You can buy website content but you risk publishing word for word content that is already on other websites. You are better off hiring content writers like this one: http://www.techhelp.ca/blog-and-content-writing/

Yes you can buy pre-written content and you can pay to have someone write for you. However, I feel you make a better connection with your audience when you write it yourself. http://buildingabrandonline.com/keystosuccess/tips-writing-for-the-web/

I don't see the point of buying an existing website content?
I mean, you can get a decent original content for your website not as cheap but original and quality.
A good quality content is an investment, if you are looking for long term success then invest on your content.

More businesses don't depend on SEO traffic, than businesses that do.

Those businesses don't care if it's unique -- as long as it's high value to their audience.

Most sites do have content from some other sources but I think its mistake to think unique content is just for SEO. Unique content is necessary for return customers. They have no reason to return unless you offer content/views that is different from the other sites on the subject or in a niche

I'm not talking about the stuff that's been republished 200 times. Content from places like Constant Content help people build up newsletters that are kept in-house, as an example.

This simple means that you have to buy good traffic from his site or from some other place to get good rank in seo, which will help you drive traffic to your site. however i would suggest to research for some of the content that you will buy as it could not be trusted easily.

Hi everyone, thanks for your answers. So going with a credible SEO company is paramount. I will not nickel and dime here at all. So RankNest.com is good are there any others that WF members can recommend? The reason I ask is because I trust WF members and being referred by you all comes at a higher degree of credibilty than just doing a Google search. Can you give me an idea what I should expect to pay for good quality backlinks? It depends on the website I would presume but in general say for a 15 page website that is in a niche market. I really have no idea how it works. I've watched some YouTube videos and get the basic concept but still it's kind of foggy for me. Thanks again for all your answers I love the WF! J

Any money you spend on "SEO" is iffy, at best. Odds are good that you will never rank your website. Most beginners don't.

Build a well optimized site, then spend money on advertising. You will learn quickly if your site is going to be profitable or not. Will people engage, subscribe, purchase? Then you can decide how to proceed.

One of the best things I learned early on (from Steve Weber) was learn to fail quickly.

      ^- he knows.

If you can't make the site profitable with paid advertising, it's probably not going to be profitable with SEO (until you're ranking -- which takes time and $$$)

Paid ads help you figure out real quick whether you're onto a winner or loser.

You do not need unique content to build a website. You need content that people want to read and can find on your site.

You can get visitors through paid ads or SEO or social media referrals, but you need first a good reason for them to visit your site and to stay there. Once you have that, you can experiment with ways to get traffic to your site.
