Has anyone used Payoneer to receive payments from Amazon?

The questions is the one in the title. Living in Romania, is kind of hard to receive payments from Amazon, because they only pay here through bank cheques and I will be forced to pay huge bank commissions.
I know you can receive payments to Payoneer, but I want to know if any of you guys have used this method. And if the answer is yes, what are the drawbacks (if there are any) and what commission fees are applied?

Thanks,
Andrei

The fees for using Payoneer are expensive.

There is a 1% fee to receive a payment using the US payment service and also a yearly account maintenance fee of about $30.

Then there is a fee of about $3.15 to withdraw money from an ATM and a fee to withdraw money into a bank account. There are other fees also, i.e. if you withdraw money in a currency other than USD.

How much does your bank charge to deposit a USD check?

The main problem is that it takes for the cheque to arrive in Romania 3 or 4 weeks. And after I deposit it in the bank I need to wait another week.
I have to pay 1.5% and a fixed tax of 30 euros each time I receive a cheque.
This is why I always had my doubts on working with Amazon...

You seem to know more about Payoneer than the rest of the people here. I have read somewhere that Amazon will send payments to your Payoneer account only if you are an US resident. Is that true?
If that is true, then it defeats the whole point of using it. Is there any other way to escape the stupid cheque system used by Amazon (aside from not using them ) )

          Thanks

So are you saying that you CAN receive Amazon payments in your Payoneer account even if you don`t have a real physical US address?
Do you have a link to a blog post or a tutorial? Is this thing legit?
I`m asking because I don`t want to invest time and money and wake up one day with all my efforts shattered because Amazon doesn`t approve of this.

Answers from people who have done or at least tried this would be appreciated.

Andrei, I don't want to sound facetious. As its not worth losing your account, wouldn't it be better to contact Amazon and just.ask. Get it straight from the horses mouth.

You don`t sound. I just wanted to find out from someone here without contacting Amazon, but I guess contacting them is the best course of action.

          Thanks

Have you ever tried contacting Amazon support for anything? I have and I can tell you that asking others is a much more fruitful endeavor. Amazon hired under-paid, over worked support personnel. Worthless.

          Anyway...

I am not an Amazon affiliate but I am an amazon seller. They have a private forum for sellers which is a good place to go to get answers regarding selling on Amazon.

Do Amazon have a private forum for Amazon affiliates?

Yes. I was very pleased with the result. I must have been lucky, and dealt with a good 'un

Amazon says that they don`t support Payoneer but I found over 100 people saying that they are using this method and didn`t have a problem. I even found people that recommended this method on their own forums.
Amazon has 300 people working in Romania, but they don `t accept sellers from the country and pay us by cheque (waiting 2-3 months to get my money is so cool)....This is the kind of bullshit you would expect from Amazon. It would be nice if eBay was a viable option.
I`m going to use Payoneer, and if they have a problem with it, I`m just going to drop their affiliate program and search for something else.
