Yea, I think trying to start your own dating site is nuts. It requires too much money and there's too much risk. There are much easier ways to make money online!!!

Promoting CPA dating sites is the way to go. Adult dating I have found to not be anywhere as near profitable as mainstream dating sites. Also, many adult dating website owners expectations of how many free sign ups should convert to paid memberships is often unrealistic and when you don't hit their target, they will give you the boot.

The time to promote adult was back in the late 90's, as the money was insanely sick back then. Now there is just so much competition and free stuff. Obviously there are those still making it work, but it just doesn't seem like the path of least resistance to getting conversions.

It's all going to come down to getting the right, cost effective traffic to make it work. Now if you can make it happen, no reason to not do it.

Personally I have found it much easier to promote name-brand mainstream dating sites. As they are going to much greater mass appeal and will get much higher conversions and they usually pay better than adult offers.

Anyway, that's my 2 cents.

Please remember that there is money in dating sites. But the people that own those sites will find a way not to pay you.

So if a person clicked on that site a month ago. But they actually signed up for the site upon visiting your page. Then depending on cookies duration . You may not receive payment or real payment for that sale.

Because most affiliate programs are scams to have 1 million people to advertise their product. But then they find 1 billion reasons of why someone else got the sale and not you. Jmo.

All affiliate programs are basically free advertising while selling the affiliate products for the chance of them and not you to make big bucks.

I used to dabble with Plenty of Fish ads. It was a surprising amount of work, but there were CPA offers that paid $5 per sign up. I've heard POF no longer allows new people to advertise on there anymore. Not sure if it's true or not.

I honestly couldn't tell you. I would imagine traditional dating sites are easier to promote than adult aka porn. I would scout out CPA networks like Max Bounty and see what they have to offer. You'll have to get accepted by the network (which can take a while) then get accepted for the offer you'd like to promote (which can take a while if you're new). Then, scout out places to promote it.

In all honesty. People in the market will recommend anything.

So please remember. That guys only go to sites that are known. And if you are trying to sell subscriptions for a reputable known site.

Then you have allowed yourself to promote Pepsi for basically free.

So MySpace ,Craigslist, backpage ,silk road with other sites such as Ashley Madison and plenty of fish became big in a good era.

But 1 will have to have a inside connection in order to see if a site has the unique qualities and financial aid to take over while they are still in their baby stages . Jmo
