I have been using hostgator for over a year and I'm very happy with them.

I also use a second, separate web host for some of my sites. Also, that gives me some "backup" in case there is ever a serious problem with hostgator.

I'm not happy with my current second provider. I have also used 1and1 and Yahoo in the past, and liked them, but they do not support cpanel.

Who would you recommend after hostgator, for a cpanel shared web host? Bluehost? Anyone else?

I personally use asmallorange. Have not had any major problems with them and whenever something did go wrong they were very quick to sort it out. I think any host will eventually hit some down time. Its all about support at the end of the day.
