Building a QUICK Affiliate Army. 200 new Affiliates a Day

Found this great way to build an affiliate army with a Facebook AD. Instead of trying to sale your product with the AD, reach out to affiliates.. i.e. Clickbank as there interest and tell them what your offering to your affiliates who promote the product. This is a great way to Build an Affiliate Army

Thanks for sharing. I never thought about attracting affiliates like that, but it's definitely something I'm going to test.

    Thanks again!

    That was a good one.

    Thanks for sharing it.

I will definitely try it. I never thought that there are other ways to build affiliates.

Definitely sounds like a viable method and I have seen it more and more people networking like this on FB. Wondering if FB will see it and especially with the MMO niche and put their foot down eventually

Sounds a lot like the list builders who like to boast about the number of subscribers they get. If you have 1,000 affiliates, and only 10 do anything, why is having 1,000 affiliates a big deal?

Although it would be very difficult to do with Clickbank, I believe, it could be a good way to add gravel to the top of your affiliate sluice so you can sort out the valuable affiliates and work with them, while waiting for the sludge to wash away.

Same with having 100,000 'subscribers' when only 50 of them (49, not counting your mom) open and read your emails. Essentially, you have 50 subscribers and 999,950 lines in a database you have to pay for every month.

It does show that you're thinking, though. Good job.

Simple mathematics. The more you have, all things being equal, the greater the chances you will have more active.

Trick is, in real life things are rarely equal.

Simple math can lead one astray, and bigger isn't always better. That applies to numbers of affiliates, numbers of subscribers or even those silly traffic counters people used to use. (Would you believe I actually saw one last week on a site I was asked to look over?)

Thats what filters are for after you get the numbers. I'll take the higher numbers any day and then filter out the affiliates or subscribers i don't want - Particularly on facebook or any social network where the traffic is not targeted as finely as in other venues.

Thanks for reminding me why I haven't been spending much time here lately.

You can rest easy, though, you won't have to "protect the newbs" from me for awhile. Once you get involved, it's like debating a voice mail menu - unless I say what you want me to say, I just keep getting the same thing repeated over and over.

Um, which Facebook are you talking about ...? Mike, you just might want to study FB filters a little more closely.

Wasn't talking about Facebook filters Annie. I was talking about your own filters of who you decide to be your affiliate. If your traffic is more targeted than a social network you tend to have to filter out people less,

How large is the army you've built with that Blogger site??

When you have your own site on your own domain people will take you much more seriously.

I think the OP's main point is a valid one...and one I should spend more time on myself, which is most product creators would probably be better off spending their time recruiting affiliates as opposed to try to sell their own products.

For using FB as a means to recruit affiliates, it likely comes down to being able to target those folks specifically. I've heard that some marketers set up custom audiences that include the movers and shakers in their industries.

The key really isn't to get 1000s of affiliates, but rather some good ones.

    Great idea!
And to get a higher caliber affiliate, you could also pre-qualify them with a survey.

I've never gotten 200 affiliates in a day from advertising to them on Facebook - but I've probably gotten close to 200 good affiliates in the last few years that way.

It's worth the time and effort.
