Tools For Scanning - Amazon FBA

I understand that I can use a scanner to scan various products when I'm inside a store to make gathering the product info easier. Having said that, it seems that the hardest part is in actually taking these barcodes I have scanned and running them through some sort of a database to determine which products I can make money via Amazon FBA. Does anyone have a system of scanner/database that works well for them? I'd love to have your thoughts.

That is exactly what the many scanning programs will do for you. As you scan the readings will show you if you can make money on Amazon and what the competition is like, etc. I do not have any to recommend as I dod no use any scanning programs. I only use camelcamelcamel to show me selling history of a product.

To find various scanning products you may want to check the blogs of Skip McGrath, Jordan Malik, Cynthia Stine.

Thanks DWaters. I didn't know about the Amazon camelcamelcamel. Very cool.

I don't normally use Amazon, but was investigating a line of products yesterday that I'm considering for a passive site. The camel will definitely help me in my research.

Have you tried Scoutify which is the Amazon seller scanning app. The user interface is very easy to navigate and comes with many features that make your scanning life easier! Christina

Selling on amazon fba is great! I started in 2014 and have been going strong ever since.

There are a few scanning options. Let me explain:

    1) Amazon App

Once you sign up to sell on Amazon, you can use Amazon's app to search for items to sell on Amazon. This is a decent app, but cumbersome.

    2) Scoutify

Personally, I use this app, but it is free with my subscription to Inventory Lab. It is quick and on point....I love it.

    3) Profit Bandit

This app costs $10/month. I used to use this app and it is great, but I didn't have need once inventory lab offered me one since I use their accounting services.

Hope this helps. If you want a free course on how to sell on amazon...check my site out at stuff parents like.
