You must be barking mad, this is such a ruff industry.

The main problem you will have is that dogs don't use the internet, they are too busy playing pool and poker.

I'd fetch another idea and take it for walkies.

      Very clever.

Reminds me of the old New Yorker cartoon with two canines sitting behind one of those humongous tube monitors. The caption read "On the Internet, no one knows you're a dog."

You can target dog owners by Facebook ads . The ad platform of Facebook is so good that you can target so many parameters of a prospective customer. Also, there are lots of large groups and pages related to Dogs . Create an ad to target those groups and people who are interested in those pages.

And correct your question headline, dude. That's hilarious.. LOL!

Visit forums for dog owners. Read their TOS and see if you can have have a signature linking to your site or blog or where ever you're selling from. Then post helpful comments showing you know something about the care or training of dogs. You might want to hire someone to do this for you.

Why don't you try Bing ads ppc? It's much cheaper than Facebook ads. Unless, you have big budgets to do media buys.

    Facebook, Facebook, and Facebook.

The level of targeting on Facebook is quite frankly ridiculous these days.

Big data for the win (for marketers, not so much privacy enthusiasts).

Bing might also be able to narrow down to the dog-level owner, but I'm not sure, I know for a fact Facebook can.

    My advice?

Check out Facebook, OR talk to a Bing ads representative. They are cool, and can definitely help. (And, they're cheaper than Facebook).

    PS:

    Ruff, ruff!

Create a page on FB for a new brand/product and choose pet supplies. Then set up your new FB page about dogs. Post lots of funny, cute and entertaining content about dogs before you try to sell anything. Once you have a good audience start introducing your products. In my experience, your own FB page works better than a blog as you have instant traffic available. If you first have to buy a domain name, set up your site with good content and drive traffic to your site it takes much longer before you can make your fist sale. Christina

Think of who your most targeted prospect is and where they might be coming from online! Two of my favorite are PPC & banner advertising.

Use things like Alexa and the Google keyword planner to drive more deep!

I'm in the dog niche and i can say that facebook works really well. (Depending on Ad copy, targeting, offer etc).

Dog forums and breed specific forums also work really well. It takes time but you can get alot of traffic from forums if you become an active member and contribute valuable information.

This thread is hilarious. I still grin and chuckle every time I read quadagon's post.

Aside from that, there are really good, helpful posts in here, plus it's nice to know what some of us are doing, like Pam2011. Thanks for that post, Pam!

Could you please to find some dog related forum, blog? There you will be able to make post, by which you will be able to get your targeted traffic. Even you can use the social media sites. There are many pages about dog. You can be a member of that page, then you will be able to make post there. If you make many posts in a day, you may be banned from that pages. So be careful about it. Thanks
