How to increase organic traffic ?

My site is 7 months old. I have been doing all possible things like SEO, social media presence, forum and community interaction etc to increase the traffic but it is not moving as desired. My March 2016 traffic as per the Google Analytics was 4151 sessions, 7829 page views, Adsense 3959 page views and Blogger Stats 43,775 page views. I fail to understand where I'm missing ?

Can anybody advice me in specific terms, step wise to increase my organic traffic ? Please check my site http://www.exploremyindia.in/ if required for analysis.

Thanks & Regards,
RS Pandey

Blog, blog, blog. The more relevant content you have on your website, the more clicks you'll get. You'd be surprised what people search for and how they land on your site. 1 - 2 blog posts with unique content per week should get you kick started.

Do you have webmaster tools installed? Tells you all sorts of good organic traffic stuff.

Have a variety of anchor text backlinks including blog commenting and backlinks to those backlinks say 2 or 3 times deep. Good including your social signals cause that is what Google is looking at these days still...

Hi rspdelhi, I just checked out your site. It only seems to have pretty pictures with links to different websites (your subdomains). There is no written content. Subdomains are seen as different websites so won't help the traffic to your main site. Search engines keep different metrics for domains than they do for subdomains. Therefore you should use subfolders rather than subdomains. Christina

    Hey there

Have you tried guest blogging and email outreach? You have a guest post option on your site so why not approach other sites and increase your traffic that way! If you have the money try paid ads aswell!

Are you targeting long tail keywords for seo? Are you promoting those posts to get backlinks to increase rankings?

If you want them to click on ads on your site, you have a lousy layout.

In the English-speaking world, people read from left to right, top to bottom.

And, people don't like big chunks of writing... Break down your paragraphs and make the size of the lines half as long as they are.

You have an ad for doctors and one for web-hosting one for listening to free radio.

None of your content has anything to do with doctors or web-hosting.

You need better offers: things in the entertainment industry (netflix) or lose weight... would be better... more people interested in accurate info about India and losing weight than info about India and web hosting.

You're supposedly about accurate info about India. Get ads from travel agencies... more likely to be clicked on.

Your big mistake: you created a product without thinking about how to make money with it first.

You said you did SEO... I don't see any evidence of it as far as onpage optimization go. Explore my India, your keyword... not really a keyword. Nobody searches for anything with it (per Google keyword tool and, it makes sense to me that nobody would) and, still, you keyword-stuff.

    explore India has 140 searches
holiday packages to India has 880
    information about India has 3600

You should rethink your keyword strategy.

There are so many other things that are wrong, but I don't have the time.

While I agree with shaunnybb's response above by using Guest Blogging to step in front of existing traffic, I cannot comment on whether or not the content on the OP's site is something high traffic blogs would post, or allow you to contribute to their existing traffic/audience.

Your best bet is too seek out those in your market (India) and put together quality content to submit to their existing traffic. Generally, this will require quality articles and/or contributions to their readers, less they likely wouldn't risk losing their traffic to you! - If your content is good, a trade-off can be a mutual benefit to all parties, so quality does matter. If done successfully, you get free targeted traffic, and you build natural back links with competitive sites in your market/niche... win-win.

There's some great info for anyone seeking to develop their "Guest Blogging" strategies ( link below) - it covers the topic rather well, enjoy...

How are you actually getting that traffic? What kind of traffic is it?

I would agree entirely about continuing to add quality content to your site with a specific purpose whether it's building a list, making sales, promoting adsense etc.

    Always have a clear path.

    Have a blissful day.

As others have said revamp that site. Not a nice Layout at all.

Also ,when writing Content make sure to implement things such as All in One Seo that will take the stress out of trying to maximize SEO within your Articles ( KY Stuffing etc..)

As you must have realized, there are many ways to get traffic to your website, both easy and some not so easy.

      • For example, you have a very neat way to get traffic right here on this forum! First set up your signature links where you can ad a link to your website with some text to attract visitors to the site. Then go to the Warrior Forum and look up some of the questions that are asked there and post a reply to the question. Do this 10 times a day, say 5 in the morning and another 5 in the evening. Soon your signature link will be have a substantial presence on the forum and by the time you have, say 100 replies, you will be astonished by the number of visitors to your website.
      • You can also look at publishing an ad on ezine directories. You can find a lot of information on that right in this Warrior Forum. Just type "ezine directories" in the search, or even Google or JVZoo will give you all the necessary info on that.
I use these methods myself and although it is not the fastest, it surely will get feet to your website.

    How to increase organic traffic?

    - Do proper keyword research. Assess the competition for the keywords you're interested in. Go for those keywords that don't require backlinks or too much work. Create SEO optimized pages focused on those keywords

    - Aside from the above, post interesting posts and share them on Fcaebook, Twitter and Pinterest

    That's it.

Of course, you need to do this properly and that's something that 90% of people don't really know how to do it!

Traffic comes from people who find value from being on your blog.

That means you need to get your blog in front of people who want to be there.

    That means engagement.

Besides all the design and SEO issues, I always think engagement is the key to ranking and getting steady traffic.

Develop original articles (either yours or from others)... then go to other blogs in your same general niche and start commenting on theirs. Make good, in depth comments. Those bloggers and their crowd will start finding you on your blog. But you have to give them real conversation, real value once they get there or they'll bounce.

This takes time, but your audience will be far better than just a bunch of cold traffic from paid ads.

Blogger stats tend to be wayyy off from my experience. The question might not be a matter of traffic, but a matter of revenue. At the end of the day, are you making alot (or decent) amount of money from your site? Is it something that you can live off of?

Keep blogging but aim for quality over quantity.

1 superb blog post per week is better than 10 posts that only just 'cross the line'.

Also, when you post, create a video about it, get it on YouTube and let all your social media followers know about it!

One thing that has produced great results for me recently is creating a great 'how to' guide and then giving it away free on the 30+ Internet Marketing FB Groups that I keep an eye on.

Make sure your links are in the guide of course. You could even ask nicely if they could head over to your FB page and give it a like! For a decent free guide this isn't a big ask and can work wonders for your page.

    Hope that helps.
    Cheers
    Jon

Google looks at the words you employ in links to help find the content of your folio. Google wants quality, organic content as much as consumers do. Google will notice because the engagement rate for your content will increase, once you start updating content.
