What Do You Love and Hate About Internet Marketing?

LOVE: FREEDOM
HATE: Distractions...NOT Staying FOCUSED On One Thing...

I love it all.. sure some stuff is a minor annoyance, but I'd rather be doing this than anything else..

I love the fact that I don't have to deal with people who I need to try to fit in.

I hate the the fact that I don't get the chance to meet new people.

But in totality I love online marketing.

I agree totally guys thanks for sharing. I also have love hate with professional sales copy.

Don't we all.

Like: freedom, money, creativity, culture, connections, tasks.
Dislike: lazy marketers.

What I love: the freedom in working on a project wherever I want, whenever I want, for as much as I want. (This can also be a curse if you lack discipline.)

What I hate: the claims that some people make about "easy riches" - yes, this happens offline as well but it's harder to regulate these kinds of things online.

I love working from home.
I hate that is so much work in order to make it work.

There's loads to love about this business but there is 1 thing that drives me nuts...

Sifting through loads of drivel to get that 1 golden nugget of information!

Once you find it, great, but my word does it get my goat filtering the white noise!

focus is my main problem in IM huhu

Yeah I love this tool that we have and I also love what I had to do and become in order to slowly see results. I would never take it back for the world!

what I hate most is when markets and networks make a change putting a total spin on my campaigns and things. Also how you want people to do things but we can not force them to do things.

I hate having to gamble on my monthly bill money for the purpose of investing in new ways to further business.

So I now work to pay bills and let the business support the business. But this means the net goes back to more campaigning which leads to a break even in the long run.

I just need 20,000 folks to buy on the same day rather than 20,000 folks buying within a 3 year period while paying for ads throughout the 3 years as well.

So my frustration is knowing the sales will be made. But not knowing how to get them all in a month. Lol.

But I will find a way.

Hate working on boring things necessary for making money

I love testing to the point it became adventurous. Plus I love delving with advertising and driving massive traffic to offers that convert.

Right on with the freedom and creativity. I can get inspired in the shower or anywhere, get an idea and make it a reality the same day! An idea for a post, product, video, old contact that would be perfect for a new venture on and on..

You know I was just thinking about the never ending pitches we are exposed to here. Does it effect us at all? I guess we become like the mortician who can eat lunch while preparing the deceased for Funeral.



"Lazy marketers" niche sounds like an opportunity. Is there already an app for that?



Yes like the word Boss and no butt kissing. I love to see those redundant articles on "Interview Questions" from a TOP CEO. Always puts me in a good mood that there is no need to play that game.

I was so ready for the Internet long before it was ready for me! What was there before for us entrepreneurs who did not want to invest in a Franchise? 900 numbers? OMG.


Oh and the irony. And what is our job again? Distract and interrupt with our timely and important information!


Keeping it real. I know of many Marketing rock stars who flamed out some in the 6 digits plus monthly thinking sleep was something they could growth hack.

Do not remind me of the time I cleared out my hard drive of all the opt in freebies. I actually read every one of them Some on what to do and others what never to do.


No doubt about that. What does a Guru do who invests in hypnotizing professional sales copy for his mega launch then emails you to tell you how he had record sales? Sends you his new campaign the next day that was already set up weeks or months ago!



So true..if we want the fast money we have to be alot more hands on and attentive to the process because variables change rapidly..



Study and devour everything LAUNCH and recruiting Affiliates. That will be the key to your big selling day.


You said a mouthful. We may have a single task but it sometimes involves research, including watching videos, organizing and filtering, images, editing, bookmarking on and on.

If I created a new blog today I would take it upon myself to look up everything I already knew to look up in 2015 and do it again for 2016 just in case. Tools, resources, social media, rules and regulations everything can change.

A man of few words but definitely in the heavy weight category.

Right now some do not know what they do no know. But once we begin to expand and reinvest in our business it becomes crystal how important testing is and improving even on winners for optimal profits.

And i will bet the farm that the OP is not among that 2-3%, why? They don't talk about it...

Like, I do what I do from here in NYC. Or from Fiji. Or Bali. Insane. I dig ease of connecting, the lives I touch, yes, sales ...and all wrapped up, it's all good, really. I prefer blogging over focusing on IM but fits under the umbrella nicely methinks.

What I love the most is that you only have to work on your computer, stay at home, and work at any time you want. What I hate the most is that success isn't too easy. Competition is extremely tough, especially if you are a small business. Big businesses can eat you up.

Go to a party and say you are an internet marketer and that's right up there with "lawyer" for popularity.


That's right you will learn a ton here one way or another...what to do or what not to do.

There was a popular warrior who shared in great detail his high roller days in article marketing and his business suddenly collapsed.

Some bounce back quickly and some never make it back. We have to adapt, constantly re- educate ourselves and spot the trends.

I love the freedom and the fact that I can reach a lot of people easily.

I hate that people don't understand what i'm doing .

One of the Best parts about being an internet marketer is we can bring a product to market much faster than a huge company.

And yep people around us begin to respond differently when they see the results then they want to learn.

We can not all be "Rich Jerks" but once you have a big winner and reap the rewards from your hard work it's the best feeling in the world. I will be actually using the "Rich Kids of Instagram" in some upcoming promotions.

Yea I remember the time Pat Flynn had his site hacked. One of the nicest guys on the planet in my opinion. Somebody with some skills just woke up and used his talents to go negative on somebody for no reason.

What did Pat do? He turned it into a step by step learning lesson on the recovery of his website for everyone to benefit from..

I love the IM too much. Because here I can work freely. There is no time frame, there is no area restriction. I can work from anywhere of the world. So I love it.

What I hate about is......

• I've become very introverted, disconnected from the "old habits" and "routines" that blindly occupied my time, and while I was much busier physically... I realized it was leading me away from my greater ambitions
• I too hate the fact, people assume that just because you've invested (roughly $10,000 to date) into the studies of various "processes and systems" being used online... they think the internet is for playing video games, chatting, flirting, and all about leisurely wasting time... and these are the people screaming; 'Go get a job... just be like us"
• I hatethe "technical challenges" as I entered this arena, a complete noob, never even used until email 7 years ago!
• I hate the time it takes to learn, and the sacrifices I've willing made in lieu of money, for many people see this as a weakness, or believe; "That I've failed"
• I hate having a vision, a voice, and silencing it... until such time I can know; How to reach my target audience, serve the people my messages (offerings and products) were intended to serve
• Lastly, I hate observing, witnessing all the "nay-sayers, haters, and non-believers" who profess; "Oh you're dreaming...surely, you know it cannot be done" - simply because they, themselves do not believe they can do it!

What I love about it...

• Everything I just mentioned above as it is indeed a challenge I believe worth fighting to "rise above and overcome"!
• I love writing, even when I haven't been paid to write!
• I love the idea that if I help enough people with a powerful message, it can move mountains, and grow to enormous proportions of personal and financial abundance
• I love the education, knowledge, and understanding I have gained, and those few "glimpses of wisdom" that are sown into the heart and minds of entrepreneurial spirited people
• I love the idea of setting people free, helping guide them to that which they seek, and ultimately, the privilege to share insights, information, and reach beyond the typical barriers of age, race, color, creed, or country
• I love being provoked to action, especially, when people "fire me up" be for better or worse!
• I love the masterful minds who understand copywriting, persuasive use and command of the language used to communicate, market, and bring value to one another!
• I love it all... and imagine, I am just an infant in this online arena, to even try to deny what is possible would only hinder that which remains of the child who still occasionally rears it's head, and says; "We're doing this...like it or not!" and who knows how bad it will hurt... who cares... cause the pain reminds us we are alive... and fear cannot rob us of that my friends...
• Oh, and I love this forum... cause it's filled my head with so much ammunition... I don't know what to shoot for first!

Seriously... I could go on for days, as this doesn't even scratch the surface as to what I love and hate about "learning to better communicate and market" ourselves, respectively!

It's definitely is a journey into the abyss to say the least. The only way I can handle the ups and downs is to pretend I'm in college taking a class and preparing for the midterm and final exam. The stress of absorbing all the information required to pass the exams, then you pass and move to the next level.
The likes:
Actually the challenges, knowing once you complete the task you are rewarded.
I reapplied 10 times with Google Adsense before they accepted me. "IT CAN'T BE DONE" is not in my vocabulary.
The dislikes:
1.Not knowing what direction to take
2.Keeping Google Adsense happy
3.What paid traffic is worth trying
4.What payed backlinks to outsource
And the list goes on !!!!!!!!
BUT I do see Progress lol

I love finding out about all of those success stories.
I hate not knowing how much people make online.

LOVE: -Testing new ideas

HATE: Stress

most of all is RECURRING INCOME

which means having membership sites with money coming in each day, on auto pilot, no matter if I am in the office or the beach for a few days, money keeps coming in.

Having worked in the IT field for many years I have a great interest and curiosity for technology. And as a 'boomer' I can fully discern just how radically information tech has changed our society, it is not just 'computers' but an entire shift of perspective. In a mere two decades the whole of human knowledge and 'know how' is now available to anyone who has the intent, discipline and acumen to seek it out.
I think many people are still not fully aware of just what a fabulous resource the internet is, and it is the basic research skills that are lacking. This 'secret hidden in plain sight' is that you can learn to do just about anything if you have the will to learn.
Take a platform like YouTube, for instance, to many people this is a playground, a superficial and trivial distraction filled with entertainment - if you bother to look a little deeper however there are terabytes of training videos on just about every subject, often of very high quality, you can learn how to build websites, how to use applications, how to do everything you need to start building your own online empire(!)
Sites such as Udemy.com, Cousera.com, as a small example have tons of free courses.
There is absolutely no excuse at all for not knowing how to do things online - if you are capable of learning you can do it all.
In my own case I became increasingly focused on internet marketing from about 2009, after being online since 1996 and working as an IT network administrator in my 'day job'.

It was all new to me but I was drawn to it all, it was completely compelling. If a vintage model like me can do it, you can too.
There is just so much opportunity available to all in these times, there really is, people get discouraged on here a lot because it is not easy; nothing of value comes easy! If you fail at first, just learn from it and try again, this is important.
I am trying to provide as much value to others as I can, I think this is the crucial part of being an internet marketer, you must have a generosity of spirit. If you seek to profit from others by 'tricking' them, or fooling them you are doomed to come to a sticky end, the world is full of trickery and con-artists so you have to be discerning and use your common sense.
The part of internet marketing I dislike is the seedy, egotism and deceptive people who pretend to be caring and all for helping people, when all they are focused on is exploiting the inexperienced and digitally naive folks - there is still too much of that going on!
Mostly I love it, it is the most fun you can have wearing whatever you choose! Opportunity is all around us, the means to make life better for all, we are connected and exchanging culture, ideas and knowledge, we truly are blessed to live in these times. With an internet connection you have the world at your finger tips and with just your skills, will and imagination you can actually build a whole new life for yourself.

i really hate that 1 month income ca be $500 and the next month $3500..

I love the freedom and doing what the things that I'm passionate in.
I hate it because I'm not making much to cover my expenses yet.
I'm still working hard on it, trying to focus in doing the most important stuff that will move my result each day.

Hate? => you need traffic every day to your business

LOVE? => I get traffic in autopilot from my systems

I LOVE the freedom it can bring.

I HATE that people think you can do it without investing.
