How can I resell a digital product I have resell rights to?

I have recently come across a very good product showing how to do drop shipping successfully A-Z that I have the resell rights to. So far I am thinking to resell it on Etsy, Ebay, and possibly Amazon, but I'm not sure. Just thought these would be good ways to sell without a website. I also just found Gumroad. What are the best ways to resell high quality digital products and where? I would be willing to outsource most of the work needed to be done here. If you have experience with this please help me. Thank you!

Why obsess with selling without a website?

You can sell resell rights products the same way you would sell any other product.

Since you already have the product, you'll have to approach it a bit bass-ackwards, but the idea is to find where people who are interested in drop shipping congregate and make your offer.

Etsy seems to me to be a collection of artisans and craftspeople interested in selling their creations, not those looking to start a dropshipping business.

Ebay has rules about selling digital products which mostly add up to "you can't do that here."

Amazon? Maybe. Might be worth spending some time on their forums or ask their people about selling your product and how to go about it.

Otherwise, I'd do something like this.

    > Carve off a small piece of the product to use as a lead magnet, preferably a piece which provides a quick win for the subscriber.

    > Carve off another, larger piece to use as an entry level product, and use the email list you built with your lead magnet to promote the entry product. Buyers get moved to a buyers list.

    > Promote your main offering to those who have by now consumed your lead magnet and your entry product.

Of course, to do that you will need a simple website and a list manager. A domain will set you back ~$12 per year, while a reasonable web host and autoresponder service would be less than ~$25 per month. Depending on the price of your product and your margins, you could end up covering your overheads with one or two sales per month.

      Thanks John,

I really appreciate your advice. This sounds like a great idea. The product consists of 10 videos. When you say carve off a small piece I'm thinking just the first video.

      Thanks again

The best place to sell high quality digital products is on your own website. You control everything, and no one can take your site or product down for a stupid reason. If you want to sell on Ebay and Amazon (Kindle), fine. You'll make more money from your own site though. Because you get access to each customer for backend marketing.

Personally, I think the very best way to sell is with a web site. I think you would be short-changing yourself if you don't have one.

These are questions that you find answers to by doing market research so that you can understand what people in your niche are looking to buy and where these folks can be found in concentrations online.

It goes without saying that you take your marketing to your target audience - wherever they are found - and you give them the solution they are asking for. So dig in to the niche and you'll find your answers. That is your homework assignment. It will make all the difference in the world to how much you sell online.

I recommend your own site as well. Drive traffic to that site through campaigns and other ways and keep all the money. Lead magnet and list building is an awesome idea, that what the best of the best do, but be sure it is a worthy and rich in value, type product since your name is on it. You might also consider listing it on Clickbank as a vendor and offer commissions to affiliates, they can really drive sales. JVZoo is another one. I'm just saying because it works for me.

Show your product in two or three traffic exchanges after a while and if it is attractive, some will want to know more!

Great! Go with payloadz I have sold PLR products in there before and made some money. Really great site for selling downloadable products. Enjoy the profits!

If you did want to leverage eBay just convert your product to DVD format. And add shipping to the total cost. But you may be surprised DVDs are very affordable to ship.

It could be the first video. Maybe it's the fifth. Or a 'mix tape' of snippets from several of the videos. Maybe it's just one part of one video.

What you want to do is give the new subscriber both a taste of your style and something they can do immediately and see a quick win.

Let's say you have a course on how to save money on food aimed at singles or couples. Further, let's say one of the videos is all about buying in bulk, and has a segment on buying bulk meat and portioning it for the freezer.

You could carve out a short segment on how to wrap a portion of meat so that it doesn't get freezer burn, and promote it as a way to save big bucks without wasting food that spoils in the freezer. (I'm winging this - the offer could be a lot better, but I hope you get the point.)

That video segment, coupled with a one page PDF listing the necessary supplies and suggested 'standard' portions might make a great lead magnet.

For an entry product, you could use the whole video on buying, storing and using bulk food buys.

Of course, the whole ten-video set is the end product.

Does that give you any ideas?

Thank you everyone! I am going to build a great website for this product. I think doing a lead magnet and building a list will be better than trying to sell it on the sites I mentioned. You have all been such great help and I am really grateful to get such awesome feedback on my question. Thanks again.
