I think marketers working together is the best thing since sliced bread!

Jokes aside, there are really great people here and once you get to connect with them on a personal level, working together sometimes comes naturally.

As for trust, you have to give a little to get some in return. Although it always comes at a risk, and sometimes you get burned, usually the good experiences tend to outshine the bad ones.

Does it matter?

Yes there are certain ones I do trust. But I do try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt even if their Reps are not sterling. Maybe it has burnt me in the past but I have the Mindset that until you do me wrong I will operate in faith.

Could be a weakness could be a Strength. Who knows ?

It's hard to open up to other internet marketers. Mostly because if you tell them how you're making money, there's a decent chance that they will copy your whole business strategy and rip you off.

Wow katrim what a pleasure to meet you. You really tell it like it really is. And overall its a positive process just keep your feet on the ground.

Oh that last part you mentioned remember the infamous "Alexa". Thousands of helpful posts and perm banned.

it is just part of the business we are in I guess. I think we all may be a little guilty of "modeling" from another persons success in some degree or another.

That is right but the good news is time will tell. It is always good to treat people the way you would like to be treated.

In our industry it can be very "guilty until proven innocent" but it can be overcome with contributing.and offering value right up front..

There are times to collaborate, times to share magic with each other and then there can be times to keep some things under wraps. I like working with talent that helps me with my audiobooks and together we get to know each other over the years and share royalties. Recently I started a new product working with a master mind and it is very exciting...so...I encourage it.

IMO, networking with other marketers is generally a good idea if those marketers know what they are doing. Not all do ... and so you need to avoid entanglements with unsuccessful people, unscrupulous people, dishonest people, and those that would take advantage of you and your time, your resources, your list, or your good name.

Some businesses are designed to "go it alone" and there is certainly nothing wrong with that. Sure they may be potentially leaving some money on the table ... but they may also figure that keeping 100% control of every aspect of their business is worth it. I can understand that attitude.

I am comfortable, unfortunately I find it hard to keep up with everyone, constant emails, skype, pm's, facebook messages, etc.. so I need to limit it..

On the upside, when I have time, I love catching up with people and talking about the industry and other stuff

Now that is the reality side for sure. Being organized.

I still have contacts from live seminars I attended in San Diego many years ago. Some people take a break and some newbies you met a while back are now the keynote speakers at Conferences .
