keyword research psychology, web design vs. website design

You might recognize me from my past thread. I finally decided to go the web design route. Thanks so much for all your input. I feel like a big weight has been lifted off my shoulders.
I am trying to do some keyword research and these keywords seem to be popular
website design [city]
web design [city]
web design company [city] (but not as popular as the other 2)
I want to target those who are the most likely to pay good, and the least likely to give me headaches. obviously, I dont want to target freelancers who are googling to find a job.
based on the search term can you tell me anything about the person who did the search? For example, what type of people would search for website design vs. web design? what type of people would include the term "company" vs not include it?
