Hey Mostafa, welcome to the Warrior Forum!

The truth of the matter is, you are the one best suited to finding a good niche for yourself... but only if you do it sensibly.

You'll get a lot of different advice here (some of which might be good) but I'll just share my personal experience with niche selection.

For me, when I had to decide what niches I would pursue, my process was like this:

    1. Go through a list of profitable markets and select the ones that are evergreen, and not too technical.

    2. Narrow it down to the ones I have a personal interest in (for example, that might be fitness for some people, gaming for others).

    3. Find high quality products I can promote, then get to work. If there aren't good affiliate offers available I move on to a different market/niche.

    Regards,
    Daniel

If you pick a niche for money, you will fail.

Pick a niche you love, something you are truly interested, have great knowledge or want to learn because you will need to create quality content over and over and if you do not enjoy it, the blog will not be successful.

Do your best with something you love, you can do money from any niche.

If the niche is so boring to you that it's hard to read a 2,000 word article on the topic, imagine building a whole business on the subject.

This is something I wish I thought of earlier. There is likely money to be made in one of your novel passions that you consider "too small."

Step 1: Write 3 of your favorite niches.
Step 2: Write pros and cons for each niche
Step 3: Choose the best niche with less of cons.
You can have some ideas with dmoz.com ( The open directory). You just put your niche in search and enter, you will see a lot of suggestion.

Welcome to the forum. A good niche to start off with that will give you a basic understanding of how to market online is: "how to grow red roses". Then make subsequent products that you can sell again to your customers.

    Hello. Welcome to the forum.

Better to choose the niche that you are really interested.

It's easier to write something that you are passionate about. It's easier to share ideas.

No, I still do not have a blog yet, but it is not a problem to me, since I know people who can buy domain and a host for me.

Hi Mostafa, I think the solution is staring you in the face, and you do not see it. You are studying Business Administration, aren't you? So you must be interested in Business. So why not start a blog in that niche? You are knowledgeable already in this niche, and you might be able to use or reuse essays on your blog which you are writing anyway for your course. And there are plenty of ways to monetize that particular niche. Christina

I do respect what you are saying but he is a student and not sure if he has had Life Experiences
( with a job ) in this area.

So it's kind of like trying to just teach Theory and not based on his experience. That is least what I gather. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe he has a full time job in some sort of business environment ??

    Hi Mostafa,

When you want choose your niche, you must find something where there's interest and money to be made. Find out why people spend money. Is it because of
    - to solve a problem they are having
    - for convenience
    - fill a basic need
    - increasing their image

Make sure there are look long term products in the market for selling.

Test for potential or any market for your niche. You can check any websites or Amazon, Ebay selling your products. Any Adwords listing? If there is none, it may be a dead market and not worth pursuing.

    Mostafa,

Your business degree courses will not be of much use to you in IM, except for the capacity for organization and perhaps follow-through.

Your biggest asset and potential stumbling block will be yourself.

"How long will you stick with it?" is the question. Most people don't stick with an idea longer than a few days. It takes longer than that to get something going. Yet they get discouraged and jump onto the next shiny object going by.

There are many different ways to make money online, just as there are many to make money offline. You need to pick one that makes sense to you, and stick with it, adjusting until you make it work.

Getting it to work really should not take that long; perhaps 30 - 90 days. But as you've seen that is a lot longer than people stick with an idea.

Whatever process it is, the guts of the thing remain:

1 > find a group of people who you can solve a problem for, who acknowledge having the problem

2 > either get in front of them where they are with your offer, or entice them to move from wherever they're gathering to your platform to see your offer

3 > filter them (this is called qualifying) so that those who are most likely to buy see your offer

4 > convert the qualified prospects into buyers, and then fulfill the orders.

You will see a lot of hyped up nonsense about this or that piece of a technique being the lynchpin of success. That is false. One piece of the puzzle by itself is not the answer. You must understand and implement the entire process. Know where the single puzzle piece you're looking at for the moment fits into the process.

Otherwise, you'll get on the shiny object train with everybody else. Whiteboard videos last month, SEO this month, copywriting scripts the next. And no commitment, back to zero every few days along with the herd.

Don't ask "What's working?" Don't look for success outside of you. What they're doing is a unique combination of their skills, experience, interests, and abilities. Maybe you could copy it, but maybe you can't. Better to forge your own path.

Hello Mostafa and welcome to WF

You will hear some people say to completely ignore the earning potential of a niche and just concentrate on what you love or a subject you're passionate about.

In my opinion this is a huge mistake. That may sound like really good advice, but the truth is you have to strike a balance between something you enjoy and something that will make money.

Actually I would go as far as to say the ratio should more heavily favor the "making money" side of the equation. Picking a niche you have a fairly good interest in just keeps you motivated to keep going, but at the end of the day you'd like to make some good money for yourself, right?

As far as actually choosing the niche, you could check out Stuart Walker's site: nichehacks.com maybe it will help give you some ideas.

Whatever niche you choose, I'd learn some code in addition to marketing and copywriting. This will allow you to create not only information products but software products in any niche you choose. You can make more money selling software.

You can learn for free at codecademy.com and freecodecamp.com.

    Welcome and Congratulations Mostafa!

I would love to be 18 just getting started with IM!

Well let me tell you the same advice I read and ignored for a very long time...

Create Lists. Eat Drink and Sleep them.

Listbbuilding gives every other activity you do online more power and leverage..

You love website flipping? Make a list of people who may be interested in new websites.

You love youtube? Send viewers to a helpful gift matching the video topiic to promote to them again and again.

You wake up one day and Facebook no longer exist? You will not give a damn because you will have a real asset....your list that you have relationship with.

OK good luck my friend and let us know what looks appealing to you so we can all give some helpful suggestions every step along the way.

You need to have an authority over the subject matter for which you are thinking about a website or a blog. At least you should possess a fair knowledge about a particular subject matter so that you can share your ideas and thoughts about it with your prospects to gain trust and authority over that particular subject matter.

So your niche depends upon the subject matter for which you are expert enough or comfortable enough to work for. Whether that niche will generate a revenue for you or not depends upon whether the niche is a part of market/s where people exchange money quite often and how well you succeed in creating your subscriber base.

Anyhow, your age and so the other related things favors your decisions. So keep that spirit always high and keep moving ahead from your mistakes and achievements down the road.

Wish you all the success and happiness.

Study traffic generation. Without targeted traffic you have nothing. Before deciding on a niche or particular market, learn the art of generating targeted traffic online.

If you master this skill you will have the ability to enter any market you like. Traffic is also a valuable commodity that can be sold to others.

    Hi Mostafa,

I won't add to the 'finding a nich question' because you've got all the answers you'll need above!

What I would say is that once you find a niche, create your blog straight away.

You don't even need to worry about pretty banners etc. at first, just get writing and learn how to do some quick basic SEO on the text and images in your posts.

This includes some basic keyword research before you start writing as well. Have you used Googles Keyword Planner before? If not, get on it!

You're in a great postion (age envy!) to start building a business here but whatever you do don't spend the next few months (years) just reading stuff.

Take action...and if you're not sure of something ask a question here, google it or head over to YouTube.

    Good luck.

    Cheers
    Jon
