If I Know XHTML and CSS Already...

Can anybody explain to me why I should use a CMS like Joomla or Drupal if I already know XHTML and CSS (It really doesn't seem all that difficult to update my own script).

Am I missing something (I'm kinda new, I've only been in IM for about 4 months)

Also it seems to me that it might not be good for SEO, but I dont really know.

More features, more organisation, more interactivity, and to save you work which would take ages to do manually :p

XHTML and CSS are really handy, but the extensibility of a CMS is worth its weight in gold. Joomla and Drupal are fine (I worked with Drupal for a couple years for different clients), but if you want something that really shines above writing your own code, use WordPress as your CMS. The plugins are a lot more organized (and better maintained), the theming is easier, and it's going to give you a lot less headache day by day than Drupal or Joomla.

Plus, the All-in-One SEO plugin for WP makes any SEO changes a breeze.

    One word: Plugins.

Each of the CMS have hundreds of plugins that can solve nearly every single problem out there.
