How Would YOU PERSONALLY Promote This Site?

Hey Guys,

I am in the process of working on a new project of mine and was wondering if any of you guys might offer me a hand coming up with ways to promote it?

Just so you know, I have a decent sized list of ways to promote it already (things like YouTube, SlideShare, Linkedin, Other Social Media, Udemy Courses, Blogging, etc) so please don't think I am being lazy by asking you guys for help.

It's just I am only 1 person, and I know there are going to be things I am missing (or just plain don't know about!).

So any help you can offer with this is GREATLY appreciated!

The website I am trying to promote will basically be a free membership site which will help teach people the basics of using WordPress through a 21+ Video Tutorial Series (very similar to the one offered on wp101.com for $19).

Then there will also be an option to purchase a further course to learn more complicated things you can do on WordPress which will cost around $20 (another 21 videos) - do you think I am underpricing myself here? WP101.com have a similar upsell course for $50) - oh and mine will be lifetime, theirs is yearly.

The main thing I am trying to ask is, how would you personally promote this website if it was yours? (paid or free, I do have a budget).

Thank-You VERY much for any and all input on this, it's all SUPER appreciated!

  • If it were me, I'd have a small price like $12 then pay affiliates 100% through JVZoo to give them incentive to promote you, along with a 50% commission on your upsell.

Once you set a price on the front end so it isn't free, I'd also try to JV with those having big launches that are related to WP in some way and see if they will offer your product free as a free bonus to their customers, where their customers just have to give their email addresses to get their bonus. This will help you build a list of buyers.

    • See THIS is why I am a fan of the Warrior Forum... these are both awesome ideas! I can't do the first one as I have sort of branded it all that the course is free... but you have me thinking of a few different Ideas now! Also, the second one is perfect! I will try and find people selling WP plugins and Themes, who aren't teaching WP too, then see if they will link to me from their product pages... or maybe even from the plugin dashboard itself! aaaahhhh my head is spinning now with good ideas! thanks man!

    Love it.

    Good question and great ideas.

    Great niche.

You will have a long list of back-end products to promote including the anchors of hosting, domain names, tools for keyword research, even other membership websites like affilorama for example.
  • I need to add that if your course is free, it probably won't make for a good bonus item to other product creators for their launches, as you aren't giving their customers anything exclusive. You need to create some type of exclusive offer to get cross-promotion like this.

If their customers can get the product for free someone else, it really doesn't add value to their own offer.

    • You mean that public domain PDF of Scientific Advertising isn't really worth $98?
