Clickbank has indeed created many millionaire marketers.

They have just about every topic you can think of covered.

Heck once you have success on Clickbank you could create a product on Clickbank on the Topic of Clickbank and make a killing. Same with tools we create that aid marketers who use Clickbank.

The affiliate army you gain access to is incredible.

    That said...

You have to jump thru a hell of a lot of hoops with Clickbank and they always seem to come up with another hoop to jump. In my humble opinion.

For example before you get paid you have to reach a certain threshold on certain platforms on an on.

So like most of the decisions we have to make in life you weigh the advantages Vs the disadvantages as it relates to your goals and business and go with them or not from there.

    Sure, because none currently exist.

Many of Internet Marketers I see in my experience start affiliate marketing with Clickbank
Because it's the most well known. It also used to be easy to become an affiliate. Now more and more vendors are requiring potential affiliates to apply.

    I recommend against CB.

It doesn't matter how many exist if you are good at marketing your affiliate offers.

We live in a saturated world. But you can still make it big if you have the know-how.

I don't know if it's true or not, but i heard that Clickbank is a Google Product!

Personally, I do not recommend Clickbank, most of the offers there were made people that want to make money quickly without providing much value.

For Affiliates who still want to promote Clickbank offers... Promote decent products atleast.

These days, there are quite a few other alternatives that are arguably better than Clickbank.

Clickbank used to be the dominant player in the industry, but they have many others now that are giving them a darned good run for their money.

They have made some stupid decisions lately that haven't helped matters ( I won't get into this, as there is already a MASSIVE thread about it on this forum already.)

Also, it seems like 90% of the products are garbage, and the sales pages are horrible and insult the intelligence of those who read them.

Clickbank was one of the first affiliate merchant networks on the Internet. Clickbank is still very good today. The bottom line is if people can not make money selling clickbank products your not going to make any money anywhere else.

Also today the whole idea is to leverage our marketing efforts with list building and the number prove that leading into a lower cost product say from warriorplus or jvzoo can yield you better conversions here on the front end thus leading into higher end sale items like found in clickbank and other networks on the backend.

Lots of good answers, but they're all overlooking the BIG reason most people start with Clickbank. They're hypnotized by the lure of 50%-75% commissions, and they start applying "spammer math" - if they can put the link in front of a million people and 1/10 of 1% buy, they'll make big bucks, and since the "average conversion rate is 1%", they'll be sipping umbrella drinks on the beach while pondering where to stack all that money in no time.

Many of them will soon find their way back to the forum and start a thread asking why they didn't get rich with Clickbank.

Here is the skinny to answer this question the best.

AFFILIATE PRODUCTS - they do the hard work, you market and keep 50% commisions.

YOUR OWN PRODUCTS - You do all the 'hard work', and the marketing but you get to keep 100% of the commissions.

I would rather the latter, but I have done well, promoting other products for other people.

These days it cheap to outsource alot of this, but both can be very rewarding.

Remember it takes the same effort to market a $27 ebook, than it does to market a $1000 product. So even if you market a $1000 product, and keep 50% commisions, that is $500, you only need to sell 2-4 a week for a nice income. ANd you can set this all up on automated systems as in a 'GET ER' DONE' type style while you can go and work on other stuff.

I started using Clickbank lots of years ago.

The first reason I signed up for Clickbank was how easy it was to get accepted (actually all you had to do was sign up). I remember I applied for Adsense and a bunch of affilaite networks like commision junction, needed a website which I wasnt sure was good enough and sat around waiting to be approved. I did get approved but Clickbank was simply sign up and get access to lots of products to market.

Many of the products have high converting sales pages and I have made many sales over the past years promoting.

They send you checks in the mail and I've never had an issue cashing any. I did have a few get lost and had to pay the stop payment fee but always cashed in about 10 business days and they are issued from a reputable bank so no red flags.

I would recommend Clickbank but its also dependent on the Niche. I wouldn't be interested in any Make money online products but you can sure make some good money promoting ex back, health and weight loss products(and more).

Cause Clickbank is the easiest way to promote products to your list

while you are creating your own.

There are good products in Clickbank and not good, it depends on you to choose the ones you have tested related to your niche.

Clickbank is an established company and most of the marketers has started with this marketplace.

I also promote some clickbank's product i trust in, but there are also other marketplace like MaxBounty, Peerfly, etc...

...the best is to publish you own product and in clickbank you wll have plenty of affiliates.

Becoming an affiliate with ClickBank is a very lucrative decision to make money online. ClickBank has paid more than a billion dollar to its affiliates.

As a member of Clickbank, you can associate yourself to any merchant on the network and be assured that you will get your commission for getting customers to buy the product. That`s why i do prefer clickbank.

Money can be made with Clickbank, but it's not easy. Today you really need to try hard and find the good product and the right way of advertising if you want some results. People are much more resistant to the advertising techniques that have been used in the past to sell those products. Clickbank is saturated with bad products and promoting Clickbank products is faced with very suspicious public eyes. There are affiliate programs which are easier to promote and are more sustainable money making models.

The major reason that I started on clickbank was that it was easy to sign up.

With that said, if I was starting today, I would get a website up start getting traffic, and then apply to be a amazon affiliate for the simple reason that amazon is such a trusted place--who doesn't buy stuff from there.

Back in the day, when the old Usenet newsgroups were still thriving, a question like this would get a very short answer - RTFM.

It stands for "Read The F***ing Manual"

You have two choices - get the answer directly from Clickbank with a few mouse clicks, or you can post on vaguely related threads and wait for someone to answer for you so they can drop a sig in the thread.

Of course, if you opt for the second, you may or may not get an accurate answer.

Case in point - several people on this thread have called Clickbank an "affiliate network", which it is not. Technically, CB is a reseller. They buy the publisher's product and then sell to the end buyer. Buyers (and their information) belong to Clickbank.

Still want to wait for a forum member to misinform you, even if they have good intentions?

Most likely out of popularity and ease.

Clickbank has tons of high converting offers along with tons of tools to make the promotion process easier.

Compare that to, say, promoting some random weight loss pills.

Now all of a sudden you have to be able to properly presell it while (most likely) starting from scratch.

    Big difference.

IMO ClickBank used to be a LOT bigger back in the day... especially with the IM niche... but after the FTC came raining down on them, they tightened up their policies.

Nowadays JVZoo or WarriorPlus are the best places to be an affiliate marketer (if you're trying to promote something in the IM space)... if not, ClickBank is your best bet.

Here are some reasons why I and many others continue to promote Clickbank products (and why I'm in the process of creating promotions for additional products and increasing my efforts):

    1) Clickbank pays like clockwork

Yes, it makes its new affiliates jump through a few hoops, but that works in everyone's favor because it weeds out potential scammers. Besides, JVZoo and WarriorPlus also make new affiliates wait for their payments - often far longer than Clickbank.

Once you have moved beyond that initial period, you can get paid weekly if you choose direct deposit, and the delay between earning a commission and getting paid can be as little as 2 weeks (if you made a sale in the Pay Period ending on December 14th, your money can arrive as early as December 28th, provided you have met the threshold, which you can adjust.

    2) Clickbank's product quality has gone up

Clickbank has cleaned up its act - and its offerings - by removing scammy products.

    3) Clickbank's refund rates can be researched

You can look up Clickbank's refund rates on CBEngine.com (the paid version). Yes, you'll need the paid version to get the scoop, but it's a one-time payment and will be good for life. There's nothing more useful than knowing whether a product has a 0-5% refund rate or a 55-100% refund rate! Stick to the 0-5% bracket and you'll rarely if ever have to deal with refunds.

    4) Clickbank's products stick around

As JVZoo and WarriorPlus (and MunchEye) are more and more focused on "Launches" where the price goes way up after the initial promotion period (which sometimes lasts just DAYS), you have to constantly pester your list to make any sales. It's difficult to set up presell materials and continue making sales with most products.

Clickbank, on the other hand, has many products that sell year after year, so it really pays off to set up a whole funnel and send traffic to it in order to build an income.

Just make sure to check your link every now and then as some vendors switched over to requiring applications from their affiliates - and you may be driving traffic to a site that then forwards your affiliate link to their regular link. Ouch!

This happened to me recently and I was quite upset. But then I applied and got approved. Now, I'm getting all kinds of additional resources and my link is working better than ever.

One more thing... if you're serious about promoting a product, I highly recommend you either buy it yourself or ask the vendor to give you review access so you KNOW the product is up to speed!
