Kindle publishing refers to the process of producing your own ebooks and selling them on Amazon's Kindle book store:

You can write the books yourself or hire a ghostwriter to write your books for you (you pay them for the work and you retain intellectual rights to the work).

You can publish pretty much any kind of book, whether it be fiction or non-fiction.

It's up to you to promote your book and get reviews for it, which is important as this plays a big role in how Amazon showcases your book to those browsing the book store.

Kindle publishing requires hard work like any other business... and if you're paying someone to write the content it won't be cheap.

That is, of course, assuming you're paying for high quality content, which is really the only kind worth paying for.

It's a great opportunity, and worth the sacrifice if you take a long-term approach.

Be careful who you listen to here, some will try to sell you something about Kindle. Located in the Subforms is a paid membership section about Kindle if you can afford to join take a look there. You can also search using the search button. Their are over 9,000 pages here about it and the firs1-11 were more about promotions.

Kindle publishing is more of a numbers game.

The more books you put out there the more you make.

Of course there are "tricks" you can use to fool Amazon into ranking your book higher - but you won't have a kindle business for long if you use them.

Number one thing you don't do is pay for incentivized reviews. It is directly against the TOS of Amazon- yet many people will tell you to do just that.

Another thing is keyword abuse and stuffing. Don't stuff the title of your book with tons of keywords - it's tacky and will greatly damage your credibility.

Another thing is this - See if you can put a picture in your author bio. A real one, not a stock image. It builds trust with your readers, and makes you look trustworthy. Nothing detracts from trust more than the generically liberal usage of a pen-name - with no picture or description in your author bio.

The next thing is to try and build a community of buyers. Start a Facebook Fanpage- anything that will allow mutual communication between you and your audience. As you publish more books and your business grows - It will be easier to get more exposure and reviews for your books.

Going back to titles; Try to avoid dishonest claims. A-lot of people will tell you to create a title that presses on a reader's emotion to get them to purchase your book. What they don't tell you is that you will get a bad review if you don't deliver what you promise - hurting your chances of making future sales.
A good rule to follow is to title your book based on the information your provide. If you are giving tips on weight loss, do not title your book: "Weight-loss Secrets: Lose weight with no work".

I don't think the OP is serious and he's getting all sort of detailed replies - and now people arguing with each other about posts.

NO, Kindle is not easy - there is a learning curve and work involved. But that's true of EVERY online method and program the OP has asked about in recent months.

Stop jumping from one thing to another - and focus on ONE method and laern it and do it until you see some profit. If Kindle is what you want to do - start reading about it and learning what to do.

That is an excellent thread - glad you re-added it. Just because someone is selling a product in a certain area doesn't mean they can't post about it at all.

It's true the Kindle membership here is only $40 - but I don't think the OP is ready to commit to Kindle. He seems to be asking "surface level" questions about several online methods. Going through that thread you link to will answer his questions in detail.

We often complain that people selling here and don't "give" - so when someone does "give" seems like we could cut them a break and not scream "promotion" at every turn. Especially true when the forum is filled with blatant link promotion day after day with no value added.

I've just taken a quick look at the OP's previous posts. Since he joined the WF in February, he's asked brief questions about most niches of online marketing: PBN marketing, ranking, Clickbank, email marketing, niches sites, 'Bring the Fresh', sales funnels, cpa, autoblogs, and now Kindle.

As Kay pointed out earlier, he's not serious, he's just skimming from notion to notion. Typical, unfortunately of the people the WF now seems to be attracting.

You could hire a ghost writer - many do - to auto pilot this thing.

I'd suggest writing and self publishing 1 eBook yourself to feel your way thru the process. You may fall in love with it.

I've written and self-published 124 bite-sized eBooks on Amazon for Kindle. Just promoting them proper now, with all the free giveaways, downloads and 5 star reviews.

I see Kindle publishing as a fun way to:

build authority
share value with readers
develop a passive income stream
express yourself
build your brand

Example; each of my eBook covers has a big old Blogging From Paradise brand logo plastered on it. A handful of my eBooks reached best seller status; meaning, a big, worldwide audience not only sees and reads these eBooks, they also funnel back to my blog after seeing the logo.

Bigger community. More folks get their fix. Branding.

You definitely want to enjoy writing, but note; Amazon has a 30 min to 2 hour read category. Meaning that a 7,000 word eBook length is A-OK, and yes, they sell quite nicely. Mine are 7 K to 15 K, so I focus on writing bite-sized eBooks.

Amazon is super helpful, and it's fairly simple to write an eBook in Word, format it properly, and upload to KDP select with proper tags, description, title, pricing, etc.

They work like hell to promote you when you do a 5 day free giveaway and get your download counts and 5 star reviews up. You'll see Amazon advertising your eBooks on Facebook and Yahoo and various blogs when you create a buzz around it.

Create practical, easy to read content. Give those eBooks away like hotcakes. Enjoy the passive income and of course, helping your readers.

Or feel free to outsource.
