Marketing without coding

I've been running an online store for many years and I pull in traffic with SEO and AdWords. I have more marketing ideas but they all require me to code and that can only happen so quickly. I have 6 employees who are motivated and ready to take something on but they aren't coders. My ideas for them are:

- using marketplaces for influencer marketing and content creation
- running social media contests
- starting an email newsletter
- opening new stores

What do you think of these? Is there anything else I should try?

    Unrelated tip:

Find a coder on freelancer, I find it more effective then trying to code myself, and if they suck I just fire them.

There's tons of people around with lots of experience with specific things.

I only really code when it's little tiny things, like modifying a script.

Note: I have a degree in programming.

Yes. Hire a coder on a project basis.

  • I'm actually trying to put that together right now, but is there anything worth pursuing for my non-coder employees?

You started off with a pretty good list.

Evaluate your employees' talents and match them to tasks that further your business.

      > Writing articles and guest posts
      > Email outreach for link building
      > Answering questions on sites like Quora or Yahoo Answers
      > Learning simple software to create videos, slideshares, PDFs, etc.
      > Handling customer support
      > Researching new opportunities (like sites for email outreach, networking, etc.)

Lots of ways to use the talent at hand that does not involve coding.

Perhaps consider finding an online course that caters to the need you have, and has positive reviews. Buy the course and simply put one of your employees on it. Skill them up, then give them the task of doing the coding themselves.

You can probably find some reasonable courses for a few hundred dollars, which I'm guessing is potentially realistic for you as it sounds like you're having some great success already with that number of employees.

I know of other internet marketers who do just this, so it might be something worthwhile to think about.

I agree as well. But is there really no place on a marketing team for a non-coder?
