Best Hosting & domain reseller account

Hi all,

I have a few clients in my local area and was thinking to get reseller accounts to host and buy their domains.

Now i keep researching the topic and the more i know the more i get confused lol plus most of the reviews i found are outdated so am not sure if its accurate now.

First I was planning with to go with a Godaddy reseller account as IMO it is the easiest to setup and I couldn't find cheaper domains for reselling so far but i could be wrong. However i would like to sell other products like SEO plans and some web design but i found out that with a good reseller account I will be able to customize the store front page only on wordpress but the rest of the site will be only godaddy products. Has this changed? Can i just sell godaddy domains and get hosting from another company or add my own products?

Then i looked at other companies like hostgator, namecheap, inmotion, eleven2, enom, reseller club and so on. But with those options some of them i wont have customer support for my clients and I will have to do the support my self unlike godaddy, but the hosting space will be more in some cases and I will be able to add my own products and customize my website but i might have to do some coding to get it started.

If you have any experience with domain or reseller accounts please let me know your feedback and what do you think is the best option?

Never, never ever buy domains and host them in the same place. Not a good practice. For your peace of mind and that of your clients, always keep the two totally seperate.

As for recommendations. The professionals mostly buy their domains from Uniregistry and Hexonet. Don't go with GoDaddy (no pun intended).

For hosting, one company with a great reputation is MDD Hosting. But before choosing any, go to Web Hosting Talk. This is a forum where reviews are accumulated from real customers, not weighted by how much advertising money has been spent on the forum.

No reason to do so. She could openly display it here so we ALL have access to this information as that is what a Forum like this is for
