Adding a bonus as an affiliate on ClickBank?

Hey guys...

Many years ago on ClickBank if you promoted a product you had access to the buyers email and other info which could be used to send them a bonus for buying through your affiliate link.

At some point (again, many years ago) they changed it because people were abusing access to the information.

In more recent years I haven't been promoting ClickBank products much and the few times I have there wasn't any bonus involved on my part.

So, my question is: What are you guys doing to deliver your bonuses when you promote ClickBank products?

Making the customer email their order # is always a major inconvenience for the them to receive their bonus. Is there some better way to do it nowadays?

JVZoo has solved this problem with their "add a bonus" feature, but is there a good way to do this with ClickBank without having to resort to 3rd-party software?

    ClickBank does not have a built-in delivery system for bonuses like JVZoo does. Your options are to tell your customers to email you their receipt after they purchase or to use a 3rd party which essentially does the same thing but may collect the email and deliver the bonus for you.

    I also remember when ClickBank allowed affiliates to get the email address of the customers, great for affiliates, not as great for the vendors.

    Funny this question popped up now because I had a sale via a set of pages I set up with I think a WP plugin - "bonus pages" that Mark Thompson was promoting a few years ago.

    It is basically a three step page where you pre-promote and then send to sales page but the "register for your bonus" page is hanging there after they have been through the CB process.

    Has worked a few times for me but I've never checked for upgrades.

    Would have thought if you created your own sales page with bonuses included and a "two-step" order process where the first step was click "BUY NOW" - popped - enter your email and the thank-you from the opt-in was the CB order page with aff-id encoded may work.

      That's a definite possibility. I could then use the first autoresponder message to give them instructions on how to claim their bonus. I could also set up an after-purchase form for them to fill-out which would keep the back-and-forth email exchanges to a minimum.
