Make Money Online Niche

Hi,

I am more confused with this niche - Make Money Online.

Being a newbie who has decided to teach others to make money online, is it valid.

I have lots of information and even I have earned 50$ but not scaling up.

Who wants to learn from a newbie to learn to make money online when that newbie himself / herself is learning.

Information(In blogs) + products(on making money online) = ?

Will the above question mark turn into dollars?

Why will people want to learn from someone who has not yet had results to show but has a lots and lots of information about the niche.

Criteria to succeed in any niche:

1. You should like the niche
2. There must be offers to promote or create your own product
3. People must be willing to buy products in that niche

Now, for me, Criteria 1, 2 and 3 satisfies but still my question is, "Is it really worthy to start with make money online niche being a newbie?"

"NO MATTER HOW BIG SOMETHING IS, YOU START SMALL, BUT IT's NOT GOOD NOT EVEN TO START"

But whole challenge is, IS MAKE MONEY ONLINE NICHE GOOD FOR NEWBIES, PROVIDED THEY HAVE SUFFICIENT INFORMATION.

“Make Money Online” I mean all the Internet marketing niches, including blogging, social media, SEO, affiliate marketing and so on. The question I am asking is: should someone who is getting started online enter the Internet marketing niche directly?

      Hi ExpertWP,

As I mentioned there are 3 criterias to succeed.

      1. You should like the niche
      2. There must be offers to promote or create your own product
      3. People must be willing to buy products in that niche

Now, there are 3 mega niches where people will succeed if done well and also these 3 mega niches are over crowded.

      1. Make money online or online business opportunity
      2. Health and fitness
      3. Relationships

Now, I like the 1st one but I am a newbie. So how confident I am depends on my results. But to get the result, I should start. But what if I put my hard work and effort and not make money when I myself have taken that niche.

It might sound crazy. I have seen in warrior forum itself where newbies themselves try to help other newbies which is horrible and junk.

I want to be honest enough because I have taken seriously to build a business online.

Health and relationship niches are in demand but I do not have enough information on them and not sure whether I like them.

Please suggest, your suggestion can lead to a whole new direction.

I must chime in and I wish someone had told me this. I've been doing this for a while. Not selling MMO type products, although I could now. The first point is key, you must like it, but you also must have knowledge in it. This is the key, you need something that sets you apart and that you can deliver. If you do not you will just wind up wasting your time and hurting your reputation.

Making money online comes down to 3 basic items. You need traffic( either paid or organic) you must have conversions into different funnelsl. One is converting a product/affiliate offer and the 2 and probably more important is conversion to your email list/social media channel( This is for repeat traffic) You need something to sell. That is basically all there is to it. If you can do these then you can make money.

How much depends on the niche and how well you do these things. If you can push a 100k of visitors per month and convert a 1% then you can make money. But if you can only push 10K per month and convert at 10%, you can make the same amount. The niche does not really matter for the money as long as there is a method to monetize it.

But it must be something you have knowledge in or making the conversions is a lot harder as you don't know how to market the product. I'm s firm believer that everyone knows something someone else needs, just look into yourself and figure out what that is.

Information is hip deep on the Internet. But, like the top layer of a feedlot after the spring thaw, most of it is bullshit. One problem I see is that, as a rank newbie, you have no real context for evaluating that information.

One model that has worked for some is the "follow my journey as I learn" approach. You admit that you're a rank beginner, and you share the things you try as you learn, along with the successes and failures. Pat Flynn is one of the pioneers of this approach with his Smart Passive Income blog.

So many people, especially in the MMO niche, are trying to use this model that getting traction can be difficult. But if you are authentic and let your own personality shine through, you will find your tribe.

I was going to suggest something similar. Something like:

Buy a product that also has an affiliate program. Follow it step by step, documenting every thing you do and the results you get on a blog. If you do everything and it doesn't work, try again with something else.

When you do find something that works, you should be able to sell it very well. People will trust you because they will have read your other actual case studies that didn't work.

You also would have case studies of things that didn't work, and these "failures" would actually add to your authority by showing that you aren't just a promoter who will say anything to make a sale.

There are many ways of profiting from from MMO without knowing much about it. But attempting to train others without relevant credentials and experience is perhaps the leading cause of failure.

Consider writing about successful people or events in this arena with links to appropriate books, programs, resources , etc, or join a network marketing (MLM) company under the sponsorship of someone already achieving the lifestyle you want.

Currently I market in hundreds of what may be considered some of the most saturated niches; most of which I have little knowledge or interest.. There are three simple criteria (the three Cs) which I use in selecting these niches:

Competition - heavy competition generally means means it's a proven money maker. Most of the heavy lifting has already been done by other marketers.

Continuity - stable demographics and availability of a wide variety of related products for repeat sales. The targeted consumer profile must be able to sustain buying products at profitable price points.

Content - Resources available to consistently produce marketing copy, ads, websites, articles, etc. This includes core skills in writing, sales and marketing at levels specific to the targeted niche.

It's an effective and accepted marketing practice to organize information from credible and authoritative sources without having a detailed or even a working knowledge of it yourself.

        I agree with this.

If you do not have the experience, there are tons of programs that you can become aff and sell to other.

I like being an affiliate for RECURRING INCOMES, which means memebership sites, that you get paid each month, without having to do much work.

They are fun, and you keep building on that.

Say you have a site and have 1000 people paying you just $9 a month. [so your retention rates are high]

        That = $9000 USD a month.

now I am not good at math, however, lets say you had an extra $9000 coming in a month, and you had everything set up on autopilot.

See these are low overhead businesses and huge profits, and the work, once everything is set up is pretty minimal.

      Yes, that approach will work.

      Learn, do, teach.

      But don't teach:

"How you can make $10,000 per month" when you only earn $50 yourself. A lot of people are doing that and this is BS.

    Ramyashree,
I would try to stay away from the "fake it til you make it scenario"

It's not a good way to be successful and it can be somewhat deceptive and unethical.

But you can be transparent and maybe start a blog that documents your Journey in this realm.

It has been done a lot. Some may say overdone.

But if you are talented enough and come at it with a different type of angle it can work

I just completed my Make Money Online course I will be launching:

the difference between me and you is:

    1. I have 8 years experience
    2. I have made a lot of money online
    3. I can tell what others to do because I tried and tested it
    4. I provide an insane amount of value with my course

Being a newbie you will get chewed up and spit out if you pursue this any further....from your students and from your competition. It took me about 14 months to complete my course, videos, pdfs, sales page and software I will be providing.

I highly suggest you pick a different niche for your first product creation because you do not have the experience to make money in this niche as of now.

    Best of luck to you!

But please tell me this. Being newbies, they won't be having xperience in any niche. For example relationships. Who knows there may be a person who is into relationship niche but could be a divorcee. Then is that person really eligible to be into that niche?

You can do this two ways:
        1. write bases off of experience
        2. research the niche, come up with 7-10 "chapters" and outsource that to be written for you.

the second one is what most people such as yourself do. they recognize a niche and the potential but know nothing about it so they outsource the actual content. this is 100% fine.

as far as a divorcee not being able to write about relationships....why not? he knows what NOT to do if he got divorced?

Dave Ramsey is the #3 radio show in the nation and he tells people how to become wealthy, yet he went bankrupt in his early years. He knows what NOT to do and teaches that!

Some of the most successful people in the world make money telling people what NOT to do because of an experience they had

I don't think your criteria are exactly right. Let's take two niches, apply your criteria and see whether they might be a good fit for me.

Niche One: Passenger Jet Airplane Manufacturing
    1. You should like the niche. Actually, I really do like the niche. When I was 8, I wanted to be a pilot; I love flying and think airplanes are really cool too!
    2. There must be offers to promote or create your own product. There's not really a Boeing or Airbus affiliate program -- but I could always design and sell my own jets!
    3. People must be willing to buy products in that niche. In 2014, Boeing's net sales were worth $233 billion while Airbus's total net sales were valued at $175 billion. Sounds like demand to me!

    Niche Two: Professional Basketball Player
    1. You should like the niche. I love basketball! Just watched Cleveland close out Detroit last night -- looks like a real fun job!
    2. There must be offers to promote or create your own product. Obviously here, I'd be promoting my own services as a player. Teams would have to bid to hire my services.
    3. People must be willing to buy products in that niche. There are teams currently paying over $100 million on player salaries alone. Definitely there's a big demand for NBA players!

So which niche should I chose?

Obviously the answer is neither. And the reason is simple. There's a fourth criterion that's even more important to success than the other three you mentioned:

    4. You must be able to offer something to your customers that sets you apart from the competition.

So even if I really liked basketball, being 5'9", pushing 40 and not being able to shoot is going to severely hinder my plans to become the next NBA MVP. And having no aerospace engineering knowledge and lacking the billions of dollars that I would need in startup costs, makes my dream of creating a passenger jet manufacturing company untenable.

But while these are obviously extreme examples, they also apply to you. What is it about you that is going to make you stand out from the competition in a Making Money Online niche? I'm not saying it can't be done, but my guess that right now you're the MMO equivalent of a short, middle aged man who can't shoot trying to try out for the Golden State Warriors. Because while clearly there is a demand for MMO products and services; and while you clearly could promote others' MMO products or create your own; and while you may have a genuine interest in MMO; the fact is none of that really matters -- not to your customers anyway. What matters is the value you can bring, the way you can make your customers' lives better. And that's true in any niche, not just passenger jet manufacturing, the NBA or helping people make money online.

MMO is not a niche - it's a huge marketplace with thousands of niches within. Each different way to make money online could be a niche in itself.

No, unless you have experience, knowledge, and the ability to teach others specific ways to make money online. Making your first $50 doesn't yet qualify you to teach anything except "how I made my first $50 online." I'm pretty sure that topic won't be a best seller.

No one is going to pay for that information since people looking for money making methods are generally after solid information that can be duplicated to make a full time income.

No. Dollars come from people that make purchases of quality information. They buy from those they know, like, and trust. You left that part out. In addition, there is both information and products already online in excess on this subject. Why would someone purchase what you are offering? Is it unique? Highly valuable? Proven to work? Can it be duplicated by anyone?

I think you better review and modify this blanket statement. #1 certainly helps, but it is not essential. #2 is worthless - there are already offers to promote in every niche. What is needed is quality products and services that meet the demands of the marketplace. #3 is only pertinent if the products people want to buy are your products or offers. If you can't produce what the marketplace is seeking, it doesn't matter how many screaming prospects there are - they won't purchase from you.

If you are going to be successful in MMO, you need to spend some time in the marketplace and just not enter hoping to cash in on every newbie like yourself that is "confused about the MMO niche."

Perhaps the single biggest problem with MMO: newcomers teaching. Teaching in blogs, in eBooks, through coaching, via any platform you can name. The trouble is, even if a newcomer gets a system to work, they still lack thousands of puzzle pieces required to put together complete pictures for their audience. If you absolutely must enter MMO, without experience, then take the Journey route, where you document your progress, dishing out all of the details. That kind of endeavour is worthwhile; just so long as your audience is made aware of your inexperience. I'm sure the previous words sound blunt, harsh; they're not intended to be. The last thing we need is people getting the idea that this type of venture, for a newbie, is a good idea. You have to consider the men and women who rely on information to be valid and of use and, in essense, correct. Some of them have mouths to feed. All of them have bills to pay and dreams they want to stop being dreams. These people cannot be steered wrong. If your mind is made up - go for the journey. I've been around the block in IM and I still enjoy Journey information.

Thank you very much for all your inputs.

Now, I can take 2 decisions by taking your suggestions

    1. Based on the suggestions of people who told me, "Just shut up. There's a lot in MMO niche, do not go further, you won't succeed since you are only learning".

My response with this option would be:

Quit mmo niche and hop to some other niche. But for me some other niche takes a lot, a lot, a lot of time compared to mmo niche

    2. Based on the suggestions of people who told me, "If your mind says yes, go for it, everyone was a newbie before being an expert".

My response with this option would be:

Yes, I am going to try sincerely. I will put in my hard work, dedication and be honest. After all, what is the harm in trying by giving my 100%

At last, I feel, I have to follow what my intuition says because it know what I really want but I wanted to make sure whether I am on right track. Hence, your suggestions means a lot to me.

I may succeed, I may fail but if I don't even try then answer is FAILURE.

I think that you can earn in the make money online niche without putting yourself out there as an expert. If you claim you are an expert in a certain technique, or making money online in general, and then when people buy your product/coaching/or whatever you're trying to sell, and they realize that it's just rehashed or unclear information (if it is, if it's original quality information, then that's a different story), they'll be quite angry I would believe.

For example, if you want to build an email list in the make money online niche. Your emails could be simply promos to help people solve their problems in the niche by offering them products that will solve those problems. Or, you could do some research over a week or so, get a relatively basic understanding of some of the broader topics of SEO/blogging/PPC/CPA or whatever, and then try and build a relationship by offering tips and tricks that you've researched.

I think the most important part for you to remember: if you aren't fully confident in your information, don't charge for it. If you offer it as a freebie for joining your list, the only cost to your subscribers if you aren't an expert, is that they receive some emails from you.

Making money in the make money online niche is easy if you know what you're doing. If you don't know anything about making money online though, it could come off as scammy. Pick a niche that you like, but that is also profitable. Anything under health, wealth, or finance.

Are there any skills you can teach?

What about having a blog about following your journey on making money? Be honest and trasparent and as you start making money, people will become motivated and start to listen to what you recommend.

Even sell raw information products like PLR can make us money on MMO niche, why you must going to other niche? If you believe MMO niche have more potential income and a lot of buyers then go for it.

I really appreciate of your sincere suggestions.

I already have a blog, I have some 5 articles written in it. I am following SEO articles which is on-page optimization, I am now preparing my free gift to my subscribers and then create a landing page with autoresponders.

I have made a decision, I will stick to it and I will leave the rest to God.

Personally, don't let the naysayers put you down,

Just be honest in what you are doing. Let everyone know you are a newbie trying to make money online. Everyone loves a rags to riches story. So start at the bottom. Post everything new you learn onto the blog, Tell them what you find works and what does not work. You'll connect with the audience that way.

There is always someone who knows less than you and wants to know what you know.

I've naysayed a friend saying that website on "setting up wordpress" won't do well because WP has been out for so long and it's one-click installed through cpanel........ and that turned into a 10k a month business... well.. shame on me...

    Thanks

If you're just starting out, IMO this is one of the worst niches to start..

It's a very saturated niche and you're competing against people who have much more experience, IMO you will find it easier to make money in other niches..

Well Chris Farrell (whether you like his stuff or not) did exactly this. Learnt the ropes on forums like this one and made content for beginners as he was learning it himself.

I don't for a minute think it was easy or even the best way to go, but he's making thousands of dollars a day now on the same niche/business he started some years ago selling memberships and digital products on internet marketing related topics.

Having said that, I'll always give someone teaching internet marketing more respect, time and importantly 'money' if they've already proven themselves in a non internet marketing niche first.

No it is not. You're better off starting on Ebay, Craigslist, Fiverr, or Freelancer.com.

    Hey Discrat,

    with a pleasure!

Here is a post, that I wrote 3 years ago: Buyer meets seller and a sale is committed. End of story. | Ultra Money Formula Blog

After reading a ton of wildly successful schemes and having downloaded terabytes of infoproducts the turning point was in starting simple. I needed money right now to pay my bills. Very common story. Nothing kicks your butt better than hunger.

Fiverr.com was the 1st actual place, where I started erning real cash. SEO, Videos producing, selling advertising. All you have to do is to serve an existing demand. Buyer Meets Seller And A Sale Is Committed. End Of Story.

Thanks for your time reading this guys!

Sorry if I did something wrong, Discrat suggested to share something valuable. I don't run that blog anymore, but it says something that corresponds something I can share with the community. End of story.

There's often a fine line between contribution and self promotion. I believe you.

If everybody gave thought to what they shared, we wouldn't have to worry about it. But so many people see links like that and pretty soon all we'd have is one person asking a question and fifty people linking to their blogs, sales pages and squeeze pages.

In the future, you might want to add the info you provided here (not your blog anymore, post relevant to discussion). Sad that it sometimes comes down to this.

I would encourage you to start in Affiliate Marketing and make sure you acquire the skills needed to sell other people's products. If you do not invest in knowledge required, you will end up doing what the majority do -plastering your affiliate links everywhere you get a chance.

But as a new person I would say Affiliate Marketing can be a great place to start.

    Hope that helps

I'm gong to share with you what my mentor shared with me. Step #1 Make Money.

So how do you make money if you want to be in the MMO niche?

#1. Find a high converting offer
#2. Put up a squeeze page in front of that offer using the same headline as is on the offer
#3. Send "Targeted" quality traffic to your squeeze page.

The slightly tough part about this for the MMO niche is the traffic part because on many networks they don't like MMO offers so you have to get a little creative.

You could also always use the tried and true method of YouTube videos, Article Marketing, Press Releases for FREE but time consuming methods of getting traffic

    Or

Paid traffic with solo ads, banner ads, media buys, Postcards, email drops.

Monitor your numbers and scale. Once you have made a respectable amount of money THEN you can create a product around how you did it.

  • 1. Build an email list of people who are all desperately searching for the same thing (money, health, weight loss, acne cure, etc). You do this by offering a free guide in that particular subject and collecting their emails.

    2. Then, market offers to your list as well as give them free info, interesting related articles, etc.

Absolutely worth it! See many are like you who feel like they are too new to start but then they give up. It takes time to make the money but in the time you are gaining the one thing that many failed to do. YOU have educated yourself in the market and now have knowledge on how to make a blog and create a product. So you can teach other how to do that. Many my friend can't do that and just need a simple way of hearing how to do it. When you break your comfort zone and learn something new it becomes your leverage and you can now sell that knowledge you have. So look at every day as a day to learn something new that others need help with + teach it which = money
