How to manage my new website with outsourcing?

by Pelo
25 replies
I build and manage SEO and social media marketing alone.
And it's time consuming. 24 hours per day look like doesn't enough for me.
How to spend my money for outsourcing and get it done better?

Thank you very much,
Pelo

I think maybe you should work on time management first.

Then figure what your weaknesses are and then hire that part out

Wrong; no room for weakness; hire for those skills you have already mastered, thus you can judge their quality of works; always learn new skills and do not delegate until you believe you have mastered them properly.

I can identify with you since I also
don't seem to have enough time to
work on my article writing business even though
I work on it full time. That is why I decided to start
outsourcing some tasks to other people and it seems
    to be worth it.

Here is what I would advice. List down all the tasks
that you need done. Identify which tasks you can do
yourself then outsource the other top important tasks
that you need done but you just can't handle on your own.
It will help you get things done while giving you enough
time to concentrate on your core business.

      Ow thank you greatwriter,
Your story is very clear to understand.
I think I must start to list down and identify all the tasks.

      Warm regards,

  • Hi Pelo,

You can automate some of your tasks like for example the time spent in posting to social media sites. You can lessen the work time by using an automation tool like Hootsuite wherein you can schedule your posts.

So, you are doing SEO and Social Media Marketing. First of all you need to find out between these two which one is your area. Then try to hire someone for other part. You hire from this forum or you may try on marketplaces like Upwork, Freelancer etc. When you are going to hire someone from market place, I suggest you to take a look on his feedback. Don't go for cheap Fiverr Gigs.

Actually it depends. What kind of website you are running? If you are selling product or service, I think SMM could provide you better value. If you can use Facebook effectively you can easily bring a huge amount of traffic.

It also depends on your skill in certain areas.

I like to write so I would never outsource that part of my business.

I'm not very techie, so this type of work would take up for more of my time and I still wouldn't do it well.

Concentrate on what you do the best and outsource the rest. Though you do need a basic knowledge so you'll know the people you hire are doing a good job.

The Warriors for Hire section of this forum is a good place to search for workers. Start with small projects until you're sure you like their work.

If you have the cash flow than it will be very easy to manage you website but what if you don't have the cash flow.

First figure out what times of the day will be suitable for you to work on your website. It seems to me that you don't have a job(like you quote 24 hours a day seems to short). If there is disturbance in our around your house during the day than I suggest you work night times when everything is quieter.

Set yourself a schedule like 1 hour on keyword research
Maximum 2 - 3 hour writing the post

Get an automated social sharing tool (2 will be sufficient) I am using Tweet Juke box and Buffer. Schedule your posts and off they go.

Interact two or three times during the day at some niche related social sites. (won't take you even 10 minutes)

I personally think you overwhelm yourself with too much stuff on one time that's the reason you think 24 hours is to short.

Everything shouldn't even take you 6 hours tops.

I'm no expert but hey that's what I figured out and it sure works for me

      Nice idea from the practitioner,
Yes you are correct, i don't have cash flow.
There is disturbance around my house.
I think you suggestion to work in the night is acceptable.

If you are looking to outsource some task I would look for a virtual assistant on upwork. com . Look for someone from the Philippines as they have good work ethic, their English is good and their pay is less than for assistants in Europe or the US.

Hi Pelo I don't want to be disrespectful and I know that you want to learn new things but I went through some threads and saw you have many posts and you also reply to many warrior members. That's this the thing with many of us newbie's we can't focus on what is important. You say that 24 hours is a bit to short to accomplish want you want to do with your site, but you have plenty of time on your hands to reply to each and every warrior here.
Please start focusing on your website if you want things to happen.

SEO and SMO both are a wide area of working. If you are managing your outsourcing process including above activities then I must say you to go for a team or a virtual team of experts. All these things are difficult to manage together. You also need time to stay updated with the current trends, since IT is a dynamic industry.

Upon reading about your problem. Your dilemma is quite easy to give ease to. What you need is weigh your options. Have a definitive analysis of what you're lacking and look out for assistance on the said field. Might I suggest you with a company that offers the services you need. I saw it when I searched for outsourcing and it has the potentials and credentials that could improve your workflow. Here

You can hire a seo analyst from seoclerks or freelancer.com and he will do your work in time and the results will be 100%.
But before you hire a person for your website just ask him to show his previous project related to seo and just ask him few things on seo.
