Animoto Now Allows Video Clips

I've been using Animoto for a couple of months
now creating videos for various sites I own, and
find it pretty easy to use.

Now Animoto has released a feature that allows
you to put video clips in your video. I think this
is going to really increase the opportunities for
internet marketing.

(It's no competition to a good homemade Camtasia
video, but it's pretty darn fast and easy!)

Thanks for the heads up and the new information. Also, folks need to bear in mind that you may NOT use the free videos you create on Animoto for commercial purposes at all.

That means you CANNOT use the free Animoto videos for Internet marketing.

    From the Animoto TOS:
"The Animoto Videos may only be used for personal, non-commercial, uses."

If you want to use Animoto for business purposes, they offer a $249 membership option.

      That's a good point.

I do have a commercial user account by the way. (Which
basically means I can create videos for my own business
purposes, but not for sale to others unless they buy a
      license too!)

I thought you could use the free version for promotion as long as you left their logo at the end of the film??

I think Animoto is a great concept, but they still need more features and themes. There were a few things I disliked; you have no control over the fonts, you can't add text to your images (unless you do it before uploading them) and I think that you should be able to buy licenses a bit cheaper for your "commercial use" clients. Letting your clients have access to the whole system will end up defeating the purpose of you selling and creating them video's, when they have complete access to the system anyway. Just my two cents.

Animoto is great! The new feature of adding video clips would be very good if it gave you a bit of control over the music clip.....i.e fading the music in and out whenever you needed to.....dunno if that feature is going to be made available.
