A competitor of mine got two websites at the same niche, ranking places one and two.
They are buying backlinks and do whatever it takes to stay in those positions. They are big company so competition might not be possible…
What would you do? Do you think reporting to google can solve this issue?
Thank you very much for your time…

When looking in google people very often check more positions than number 1 and 2. So if you can't get there, make sure you're number 3 . They won't destroy you if you're good in what you do.

Reporting to Google's got sense if it's reasonable. Don't make stuff up only to put someone if trouble.

Also, imagine yourself having obtained those first two positions. Wouldn't you do your best to stay there? You know the answer .

          Friends,
Thank you very much for the professional feedbacks. I appreciate it.
Here the answer for some questions you raised.
They got 4-5 websites for the same niche and they are using black hat methods like automated backlinks generation, using foreign websites in order to implements English keywords and at the top of their strategy - buying backlinks like crazy - especially from home pages.

Do you think they deserve to be punished? Can you overlook it?

Can you thrive despite their dirty tricks? And do you plan to use their dirty tricks in future which will make you a hypocrite?

If you can thrive despite their unfair competitive practices, simply ignore them and market the opportunity the best way possible

Go into a different niche if they're persuading your customers and prospects away from you. Don't take it personal, it's just business. And you should start thinking as a MARKETER instead of a "business owner".

    Hi S,

    Forget about going against competition.

Work with 50 more folks in your niche.

Then you'll get all the traffic and sales you could ever want.

When I tried to go against competition I struggled with an imagined enemy.

When I worked with successful entrepreneurs in the blogging tips and travel niches my struggles vanished.

I moved my energies from trying to defeat or outwork others to helping others.

For is better than against. For is much easier. 100% of the time.

How many keywords are they ranking #1 and #2 for?

Can't you find other keywords in addition to the ones your competitor is ranking highly on?

Many successful online businesses optimize and rank for hundreds of keywords.
