Wordpress theme for blog

Right now I am currently looking for themes that I can select for my Wordpress blog and have narrowed it down to three themes: Genesis, Canvas from Woothemes, and Solostream. Which theme do you think would be best for someone who is a newbie and has limited knowledge of html/css? Also, my goal is to create a blog that looks similar to these 2 websites:

LovesAGame.com - The Shortcut To Break-Up Recovery
Blog - Emotional Affair Journey

    Both blogs you mentioned are using Canvas Theme by WooThemes.

    Personally, I'd recommend Genesis (it's what I'm using on one of my own blogs).

    Of course, that makes my opinion biased but there are still good reasons you should consider it:

    - It's "lightweight", meaning that it loads pretty quickly.

    - It's simple and easy enough to use as a newbie.

    - It's well-coded and gets updated along with any major WordPress updates.

    If you want a magazine style theme (which would work well), then I like the ones they have at MyThemeShop.com.

    I also prefer Genesis. You already got some information why Genesis is good. So, I don't want to repeat them. You may take a look here to get some free WordPress Themes

    Genesis. I prefer Genesis but choose Child theme that suit for your blog. Both Loveagames & Emotionalaffiar using Canvas Theme. Depend on your goal..if you don't want to code /design more, use Canvas.

    Thank you all for the very helpful replies. It looks like I will be going with the Genesis framework for my blog. I came across a few child themes and saw one that I think would be really great for the website. However this theme doesn't appear to be available anymore:

    Does anyone know where I can find a child theme that looks similar to this?
