Business name validation.

Hi, warriors??

I am a young entrepreneur and I am also new here on the forum.
I am currently working on a niche social commerce platform. Its basically a hybrid concept where e-commerce meets social. We will essentially leverage local handmade products on the global market through our platform.

I basically wanted some input on the company's name. We are currently having some difficulty narrowing the name to something that really represents the brand we are trying to create and our customers can relate to. We currently have two working titles:

1. Yaadify
2. YaadStore
3. Other**

We would like you to tell us which name is better to you. If none of these names does it for you we would appreciate some suggessions, something you think will essentially better represent our brand. We are currently doing our customer validation and your input means everything to us.

    Hey Ricardo

My simple answer is choose one and go with it. This is something that can keep you stuck. A motto I live by online is "its easier to make a decision right, than to make the right decision" I think its Jason Fladlien I learnt it from.

Choose one name and build on that. If you really build up a reputation and provide some of the best service, the name will be remembered. The way I think about it is that you can brand any name once you provide high quality service.

    The customers always come first!

If I had to choose one I would go with Yaadify. Just choose one and take action. The most important thing is to keep pushing forward and don't let a name stop you from building what could potentially be one of the biggest "e-commerce meets social stores" on the web.

My gut reaction is Yaadify is a more catchy name, at least for me. I also think the poster above makes a great point. Do not get stuck with this. As Facebook was and is a stupid name LOL

To me, the brand should say something about the business behind it.

Neither Yaadify nor YaadStore tell me anything about your business. I have no clue from the name what your business is all about.

I would suggest going back to the drawing table. Look for something like

    socialgoods
    socialstock
    socialgems
    socialworks
    socialproducts
    etc

Personally I do not like either of the names. The word Yaad means nothing to me.
Some variation of the word "shop" may work better IMO.
