Hi, anyone having problems with bluehost ? I signed up for an account today and it has been only problems since then. They never sent me a welcome email and I can't sign into my account - they did charge my credit card for one year of hosting though and I bought a domain today from them. Interesting - I talked to chat and 4 people and nobody can resolve it and the guy I am on the phone with now put me on hold 20 minutes ago.

What is happening with internet companies these days ???

    I have a website with bluehost and strange enough my experience is opposite to what you say. To sign in all you need is your domain as the username and your password, I once had problems with my email and they rectified the problem via chat. I suggest you chat online with them again, I understand it can be frustrating.

      I spent the last 5 hours on the phone with them, 7 people and they could not resolve it. I told them I would call them again tomorrow. And chat did not work either. I'll call them one last time tomorrow and see if all can be fixed. It will work out eventually.

    Did you do any research before signing up with BlueHost? They are members of Endurance International Group (EIG). EIG is systematically buying up dozens of previously decent hosting companies and they service and quality is going into the pits.

    Ask for your money back and go with a decent company such as MDD Hosting, A2 Hosting, or the once I use myself and recommend constantly - BigScoots. Their customer service is superlative!!

    To do some unbiased research, go to WebHostingTalk, where the knowledgeable experts leave their opinions.

    I also use BlueHost and have had problems with them. I agree with what AnniePot said and just get a refund and go somewhere else for hosting.I am looking to switch hosts soon as well.

    I would recommend forgetting them by this point. Call your credit card company and tell them to cancel the charge and explain to them what Bluehost put you thru. I would recommend using https://www.veerotech.net/ as a host a little higher in price but very reliable. A member by the name of Kingfish answers a lot of questions about hosting and always has provided great information. Good luck what ever you decide to do !

    I was able to log into bluehost today (the next day) and I have received a few emails from them although none were a welcome email or explanation of anything. But, doesn't matter since I have access to the cpanel etc. We'll see how things go. I am using a few webhosts at the moment, but will narrow it down to 2 or so soon.
