    It's the same thing...

    You need a YouTube account to upload videos to... once you have at least one video on your account, it's called a channel.

    You can use your YouTube channel as a brand to link your videos together. If you put your channel name in as a tag on your video, you will stand a better chance of your other videos appearing in the related videos column on the right and thus getting more exposure. Plus, people will check your channel out and discover more of your videos.

    You can't upload on youtube if you don't have youtube channel.

    You have to create a channel to upload your video.

    MASSIVE DIFFERENCE! Like Kurt said, it's the same as writing on paper with a pen or using a pen to write on paper. I mean, just think about that for a while. Mind = Blown, right?

    Think about the difference for a second, and how that relates to you. Do you have your videos on YouTube or does YouTube have videos on your channel? Crazy, right? It's like a giant hole just suddenly eating up a bunch of Corvettes. Or is it like Corvettes suddenly being eaten by a giant hole?
