Using Instagram to bring visitors to my site

Though i've never tried it. But i havn't seen anyone post a photo on instagram with link.

I don't see why not.

Instagram doesn't have the ability to click links in captions yet.

But what you can do is at least have a link in your bio for the related article.

So if you publish a post once a week all the supporting images could be posted throughout the week and you can say things like click the link in my bio to learn more.

Great advice Isaiah. Used consistently, that's a very effective way to use Instagram to create a sort of 'subscribe to me' feature. Tag every post with your own branding and grow a fan base.

Well you can actually post links on Instagram images but those links won't be clickable so it is of no use. On Instagram, you can only post link in your bio. So, if you are thinking to post images in such a way, it won't help you a lot because each time you will have to change the link from the bio.

A better option would be to add a landing page in your bio. Then just post images and include call to action in your image description and ask users to click the link on bio.

Think you should check with the site where you are buying the image for to be sure what the terms and conditions are, not for sure you can use it however you like. Also it can be a good idea to check the regulations on Instagram. Just to cover yourself for future problems.

You are correct Instagram is best source of traffic and business nowadays, but better if you can connect Instagram with with facebook and make a Chain of sharing..

i always used IG with good success.

But i have found that putting unclickable website links in bold at the top also works. as well.

You can use IFTTT to automatically post anything you post on Instagram, to your Facebook account - or any of your other social media accounts.

When you post link on instagram it won't direct you to the site. You still need to type it. Links on instagram isn't clickable. Only those that on your profile bio.

The link you post on instagram isn't clickable. The only clickable link is the one on your profile. But instagram is a great way to share your site.

You can also use creative commons images or pixabay for images.

What you should do is put a link in your bio to a lead capture page (squeeze page) were you offer something of value like a free e-book, checklist, infographic in return for the visitor's email adress. Build your list and then start selling your stuff.
