Simply brilliant marketing using social networks by TripAdvisor
What do you do if you have a travel site and want to promote it for free on social networks? Trip Advisor created an application that lets folks put pins on a map of the world for every city they have visited, then lets them pick a few favorite cities. In addition photos you've taken of various destinations can be added to their site with a few clicks. Because the map of places you've been appears on your profile, others see it and want one of their own.
