Hey folks,
I just want to know if I could make use of graphics/creative banners of my own and insert them as an image link for my amazon niche site. Thanks in advance.

If I am understanding you correctly, if you are an Amazon affiliate, and you've created your own banner (with your aff link embedded within those banners) - sure why not?

As long as your not breaking any TOS agreement and using ethical methods... yes, you can create your ads, creatives, banners, etc... in fact, if your good at it, it's probably better you do, although most affiliate networks outside of Amazon (like ClickBank, JVzoo, ClickSure, MarketHealth, etc...) will provide you with all that an more... plus, they pay higher commissions.

    Hi there,

    - According to their Operating Agreement you need to properly utilize the special "tagged" link formats they provide. This means that you can connect your own banner to Amazon site but you need to link that banner to Amazon with the complete Amazon special link code except the part of that code that displays their own text or image for the products that you're linking to. Instead of that part of their code you put your own banner. So, you go to the page on Amazon you want to link to, create and copy the link code, remove the part of the code which is showing their text or image and place your banner instead. Leave the rest of the code alone so that their complete link tracking is left intact.

Make sure you also obey the following rules:

    - You must not use a link shortening service in a manner that makes it unclear that you are linking to an Amazon Site.

    - You must not make inaccurate, overbroad, deceptive or otherwise misleading claims about any Product, the Amazon Site, or any of our policies, promotions or prices. For example, if you include on your site a link to a 20 GB MP3 player sold on the Amazon Site, you may not state that the MP3 player has 30 GB of memory. You may not create a banner that just says "click here". You need to clearly state what the product that you're linking to is.

    - Your banner may not look like you're representing Amazon as a company. For example you may not create a banner saying: "Amazon worker shows you best products"...or things like that

    - Because prices for and availability of Products that you have listed on your site may change, your site may only show prices and availability if: (a) Amazon serve the link in which that price and availability data are displayed; or (b) you obtain Product pricing and availability data via the Product Advertising API

If you obey all these rules then you can create your own banners.
