The secret is in getting conversions, which is much more complicated. But in the end it all comes down to building trust and provide value.

They take turns promoting each other's products in the form of JV's.

It's a group of marketers who always promote each other's products and that's why the same names always appear at the top of the affiliate contest leaderboards.

If you can get in that clique...Then you are a made man/woman.

You don't have to get in with the "cool kids" clique, although it can't hurt.

There are actually several of these groups, and most of them weren't gooroos when the group started. They were young guns getting together to try to oust the reigning cool kids and make their own mark.

So if you can't get in with the cool kids clique, start your own. Find a dozen people on your own level and do the same JV thing. Might take a bit (or a lot, depending on the group) longer, but the concept definitely works.

Exactly. This is how many of the "big dogs" do it. They mail for each other.

Often, they'll meet in mastermind groups or at events and form a syndicate. In the land of Internet marketing launches, an email list is still king.

Yeah a lot of that I see at Warrior Plus.Nothing wrong with it or illegal about it but for some reason always left a funny taste in my mouth lol

Especially when I see the Testimonials and it's the same JV cohorts over and over again giving each other

Well their #1 secret is paying for it.

#2 varies. Some do it via Youtube. Some do it via SEO. Some do it from affiliate marketing. Heck, some just live off their current customers, and generating referrals from their customers & clients. What are some of the "secrets" that you're having problems with? Why not just knock it out and pay for it?

To add on...affiliate traffic IS paying for it. Sometimes to get an affiliate to mail, when you get started you'll need to do 100% commissions.

So, in essence, you...at some point may have to pay.

I'm not particularly sure this (affiliate traffic) is a secret though.

The other thing is that a marketer once told me, when I said there was a cabal, syndicate or secret society of JVs that you're locked out of....

If an affiliate thinks they're going to make money with your offer, they'll probably promote. They care about themselves more than the friendship.

So part of the game is making something that affiliates are going to make money from. This then, of course, means you make decisions about whether you are going to write your own copy or get somebody to write it.....whether you're going to get somebody to do your graphics or whether you're going to do it.

You could argue that those are sunk costs or money you'd pay anyway. But if you get a bunch of affiliates to promote and they send their traffic to a page that doesn't convert, you lessen your chances of getting promoted again UNLESS of course, you promote them.

So yes...you ultimately "pay" for traffic and no, I don't think that the secret society is always against you. It just plays to marketers' self interest.

These aren't secrets but it's what they do:

- Successful marketers often use paid traffic (there are exceptions, like the way Neil Patel uses content marketing).

- They invest a lot of resources into building a high-converting sales funnel; this ensures that even if a traffic source is "expensive", they'll turn a profit as long as it's a good match for their offers.

Something I use that does all the work for me is sms text messaging service. Very targeted in people want to receive these.

OK drum roll...

Another one that is working like gangbusters for me is telephone voice broadcasting. This baby runs in the background and just fills my funnel all day long! ;-)

Yea agreed that there's NO SECRET.
I recently enrolled into a high-ticket internet marketing program.
Found that most of the techniques are what I have learned from others all these years.
Niche sites, SEO, link building, email list, etc. , etc.
Wel, I'm a little disappointed with the course as I thought I'm going to learn some 'secret weapon.'
But at the same time, I'm happy because it simply means that those techniques that I have learned and knew are working..

There are no Traffic Secrets. One traffic cann't work with all kind of offers. Top Guru worked hard and make a lot of testings: niche, offers, landing page, traffic sources... And they find their formulas.

You want a real secret? here you go...

Stop worrying about "traffic" unless you make your money from CPM advertising.

Start worrying about attracting the right people to your offers, getting the right people into your funnel.

For example, someone mentioned traffic exchanges. What are the people using traffic exchanges interested in? Getting traffic to their websites and their shiny objects, not buying your shiny object. You might get a few to help you spin the hit counter, but how many of them actually buy anything?

On the other hand, well-targeted ads and content offering that match the conversation already going on in the prospect's head will draw clicks, opt-ins and eventually purchases from people who actually want what you offer.

People who are successful online do have traffic secrets. What are those secrets? They have very concrete traffic sources, very specific websites or blogs or advertising networks that they're using to get people to very specific offers. Not every traffic source is good for every offer. Yes, you can get free traffic through SEO or Social Media Networks, and you can also pay for it (PPC - PPV - Media Buying - ....) but the secret is to find very concrete source within these traffic concepts and to send people to the very specific offer which is tailored to match their wishes or needs.

Traffic is useless unless you give value for your visitor. Don't worry about traffic. You can get it with SEO, social media, paid traffic, media buying, there's NO SECRET.

But once again, your traffic will be useless if you don't give your visitor some values. So start building it first.
